Will this battery work with the Kamry K100?

Being new to the mod and rda scene, I have a couple of questions for you guys. First of all, I was wondering if this battery: (Efes 18650 2500mAh Flat-Top Battery) will work with the Kamry K100+? It says on the product listing that it can be used with 18350, 18490 and 18650 Unprotected batteries.

My second question is would I be better off getting one 2500mAh or two lower mAh batteries, what would you personally recommend?

Yes, it will work for your K100+. Just understand your battery amp to how much you are drawing from your RDA build then you should be fine.

You have the Efest IMR purple battery, correct? Then you have a continous 22a and 35a pulse discharge (supposed manafacture ratings, but we all know efest likes to embellish their claims. So, I would suggest staying under the limits)

Your second question is all preference. More mah means more vaping time. Having a spare/second battery is always convenient because what will you use while your battery is charging?

The main question is what amp reading does the battery have and what ohms are you trying to run on it. If you want to sub ohm then you will need a high amp rating. Mech mods are something you want to read up on and learn as much as you can before using.

The most commonly recommended battery is the Sony Vtc5. It has a continuous amp rating of 30amps which is good to about 0.15ohms. And can go even lower with their "pulse" rating. You also want at least 2 batteries of you will be using this a lot. I recommend Sony batteries since they are proven and the vtc5 has a good following. I have 3 myself I keep in rotation and they work great.

Read up on mechs as much as you can from battery safety to mod safety. They can be very dangerous when you do not know what you are doing.

+1 on EuroChris's recommendation.

The purple 18650 2500mAh 35A* batteries are really a rebranded LG18650HE2 2500mAh 20 amp* battery. Efest claims these are 35A but they are 35A pulse, not continuous. This equates to 20A continuous.

The Sony 18650VTC5 2600mAh are 30A continuous and are the best out there, especially if you are going to be sub-ohm vaping.

Also DO NOT stack batteries.

I highly recommending spending some time reading the following by Baditude (our resident battery expert).

If it's the Efest Purple, then yeah, good to go. Any of the others, would be leery of. As said the Sony VTC5 & 4, are both outstanding. Also the LG 30 amp 2500 mah are decent also.

Must say, if one is using mechanical mods, they should already know this chit. Just by not saying which efest batt and amp ratting, you were asking about, then asking the question, suggests that you are not quite ready for mechanical mods and rba's.

Yes, it will work.... That's one of the ones I use in mine. However, please do take ImThatGuy's advice. If you are new to Mech MOD's and rebuildables you can do a LOT of damage to your gear and yourself quickly if you make a mistake. Even prebuild coils can have flaws! Also, the K100+ also has an add-on tube (got it at fasttech) so I can use a kick 2 with an 18603, 18500 and 18350. This goes between the button and the sleeve tube. I recommend this for all new Mech users because of the low battery cut off, short protection and of course the fact you can dial up the power on those "non"reduildables.... One last thing, don't let those batteries go below 3.2 - 3.1 volts....

Here's a comparison of the two batteries.

I highly recommend the following meter, the Omnitester. You can check battery voltage, voltage drop of the mod, and coil resistance (ohms) in one device and is reasonably priced.

You'll need to know your battery's amp rating (continuous discharge rate) if building sub-ohm coils in an RBA. If you can not find this info on the manufacturer or vendor website, it can be found here: Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?
