I need expert advice on this solar charger I want to buy for my pvs. This is the link
Solar Battery Panel USB Charger for MP3 MP4 Phone (Silver) $9.98 - Free Shipping and it says:

  • Work for MP3 MP4 players or cell phones with 3.6V build-in rechargeable battery.
  • Built-in USB 2.0 interface.
  • LED indicator.
  • Solar battery: 0.4 W.
  • Output voltage: 5.1V.
So will this work with all pvs, or with mine, at least, which are 510, 801 and a few m series? I drive a Jeep with the top down all the time, the wind blows and wipes out the autos pretty quick, but there is always plenty of sunshine! (My lighter charger in the Jeep doesn't work unless the engine is running, plus I camp a lot. Thought this would be a great deal IF it doesn't burn out all my equipment!
Thanks in advance for your specialized help. I have no idea what the volts/watts or anything in pv batteries are.

Not an expert but there have been a few threads on this:

The main factor would be 'output' in amps but not sure what is needed for charging vs. what is needed, say for a passthrough - which is 1amp to run it at full power. Do a search on "solar" and you might get more info... or perhaps some who actually knows ;-) will see this 'bump'....
