Ok here is my concept....Rough and not a lot of details....~1.5"x3" in for normal operation

Normal operation it looks like this, the top copper piece is the button. Pushing down will press a switching firing the dna

Turning the top copper piece will release the magnets holding it down and a spring will hold the top copper piece up about 1/2" or so. Now the screen is visible and I was thinking a thumb pot might work good for adjusting the wattage. Push it back down to engage the magnets for normal operation.

The bottom will have a plastic cup liner with SS puck in the bottom, and I was planing on using magnets to hold it together also.

That is the plan for right now at least....I'm sure things will evolve as it goes together.

If you dont mind me asking what kind of tools did you use to help build this? Im looking to create an Idea ive had for a while but am kind of a noob when it comes to machining. Great looking mod btw

I use the tools in our jewelry shop and I don't think I can help you with machining since I do handmade mods. If you look at my silver 18650 mod you'll get a general idea on how I make these. I think bapgood or asdaq could help you out with machining since they're more familiar with those methods.

I have a harbor freight mini lathe that I use that helps. The funny thing is I'm jealous of people like gravewolf that have the skill to do it by hand and he is jealous of those with more efficient methods. Grass is always greener on the other side I guess :D

I would love to see what gravewolf could make blending his artisan craftmanship with using tools like a lathe and mill.

Okay this mod fell on the floor too cause of my ungodly clumsiness so I had to add a few reinforcements while repairing it. Also I sandblasted the copper part and spray painted it with clear paint to see if this would solve my tarnishing problems. It's actually a bit heavier now but I do love the added heft, though it now worries me that dropping a heavier mod would probably cause more damage to itself....

I decided to just put a carbon fibre sticker on this and it actually looks much better to me. This would also additional protection to the copper body from scratches since this sticker is very tough. I'm planning adding another side firing bottom cap so I can convert it to bottom side fire or bottom fire just by switching the bottom caps and also make another body to accommodate an 18650 battery, but that would be after I finish my new project.

Lol, don't worry I'm making something good but I don't plan on posting it until it's almost finished. I'm still considering if I should make it telescopic or just have different tube sizes. The button is still giving me trouble and it doesn't operate smoothly. I have a lot of things to work out with the new mod.
