Wire gauge Question

Hello, So I picked up a Digiflavor Siren and a Merlin Mini as you can see I want to get back to Mouth to lung vaping, I made a few coils around 1.5 ohms with 28 gauge wire and seems to be a decent vape , My trouble is when rewicking I find that the 28 g is kinda flimsy and i wreck the coil I had some 26 gauge and made a coil of .08 ohms and was vaping mouth to lung at around 16 watts and its a pretty good vape and when rewicking the coil is much more sturdy ,So my question is is it ok to vape mouth to lung on a subohm coil or am i just wasting juice
any thoughts would be appreciated thank you.

You can mtl on a sub ohm tank, but personally in wouldn't do it less than about .3 ohms. One thing you could try, that I do when rewicking is to use my scissors to cut as much as I can off the old wick, and this makes the rest easier to pull out.

I think you slipped a decimal place, .08 Ω is .44 wraps on 2 mm

I use 1.22 ohm 28 gauge for 14 watts (hybrid MtL/DL) with Kanthal which drops to .66 with SS and all else the same (or with TC at 16.5W 410 deg.). More trouble getting mounted the first time than rewicking. I did try .6Ω with #26, decent but works the mod harder (so does my SS coil, but TC is worth it).
