Hello
Is it possible a wire it's too thin for the cotton? I use 28ga wire for 3mm coil on my mtl atty...is that bad idea?
And btw can it be bad I use 3mm since it's supposed to be used with 2.5mm???
In my understanding, since the coil can fit with no shorts and can wick the atty ok with the cotton the 3mm coil needs then should be ok....like the only worry is the aiflow holes on the deck to cool the cotton properly isn't it??? Right??

Not a problem with the wire gauge and wick, Super. As long as you get the vape you want, it's good. Thinner (higher resistance) wires can be a pain with rayon, since it needs to be really tight. But that's more an issue of deforming the coil while getting the wick inside.

ID is, sort of, a builder's choice. As long as it fits and allows enough room for proper air flow, of course. It can be useful to build the same deck in a few different ways to see what's best for you.

I don't believe in any rules with regards to vaping except of course in battery safety. Thinking outside of the box and doing things differently to the norm, may help you find your vaping happy place.

I MTL on DL attys, use 2.5mm id coils where 3.5mm ids has been recommended, and who knows how many other rules I regularly break :D

If that build works for you and how you vape - then it's perfect

Yes. That might not be enough power to efficiently atomize the juice from that much cotton.

Even tho I didn't notice any problem...I will try a 2.5coil to see how it is cause the hellvape md needs much cotton and from the second rewick I started using 3mm coil....thanks bomby

I think I was using 3mm in my hellvape md too to fill the wicking holes and it worked well.
