Hey all!

I have a question about wire gauge when building VW mods.

I'm looking to connect in parallel two of these lipo batteries. I'm looking to use this parallel Y adapter.

Is 22g wire adequate for the kind of power we use? I'm planning on cutting off the male plug and splicing the pos/neg/ wire with the pos/neg wires that come off of the SX350 board. I would think this is okay because the wires coming from the SX350 seem even smaller than 22g.

Will this work?

Connectors as in JST connectors or any type of plug/socket

The batteries I have already have male JST connectors. I was going to connect those to the harness' 2 female connectors, clip off the male connector from the harness to have bare leads, and solder the wire from to board directly to the newly clipped wire on the harness (as well as soldering in a 3rd wire from the negative to the 510 connector).

I have also found a 20g harness which I'll be using rather than the 22g.

I'm going to go with this for now, and look for "better" connection options down the road when I feel more comfortable with making my own parallel connector.
