Here is what I have waiting for the Wire Welder II now I can make any coil I want with ease. I have made about 20 .9 to 1.00 ohm ribbon wire's. The one I can't wait to try is my Tiger coil wire. I think I will need to order more wire can't stop making wire's. I used a Heavy duty Hammer drill for years on concrete witch have left my hands less than handy and this Wire Welder is a God sent. Thanks to everyone that lead me in the right direction in obtaining this wonder full device. For some reason I can not upload the pictures right now will try later. :vapor:

Credit to Leo Shim for the Tiger Wire and Rip Trippers for the great build.

I'm watching for Joyner V2 from e-smokeguru. Is there any happy owners of this device? It seems to be well enough for 2014 year and it's in stock right now

i have a Joyner V2 from esmoke and it is amazing ! you can directly get the ohm of the no res wire with the staples, you just have to turn 2 switches and then you can zap it right away. all in one. it wors very well !!!

Just a update made a Tiger Wire 1.0 ohm wire and a Ribbon Wire 1.0 Ohm's today and put them in my Ithaka oh boy great vapor and flavor Jug Heads Fairy Tears 30PG/70VG. Need more wire to experiment with haha new toys are great.
Imeo in the future are you going to make a lager diameter center post and all accompanying parts for Ithaka maybe like pene V2 with a new top ring like pene V2 with the cut outs.?

I have the wire welder v2 and had problems with it. The usb charging port did not work, when i received it. Aside from that it welds wires, the ohm meter is not that accurate, but that's besides the point( I was mainly looking to weld wires) I'd look elsewhere if you haven't already purchased and would not recommend the wire welder v2 . Just my :2c:

I'm trying to build my own. It looks beautiful but I think I wired up my momentary button up wrong because I can't get it to get above 6v. This may be the wrong thread for this, but I am using a Fuji film disposable camera AA flash circuit board.

I am running two wires to a 6v rechargeable battery (power supply), two wires to the momentary switch (to increase the gradual step-up), two wires to external bolts (to attach a multimeter to monitor voltage), and two wires to alligator clips for joining res/non-res wires.

I have been using 18 and 22 gauge stranded wired and have ensured that all of my connections have been neatly soldered. I keep reading in threads that people spend 30 minutes and $5-25 to build one of these. I have spent 2 days and over $100. Any help (diagrams) would be greatly appreciated. Any info you provide would be awesome, as long as you dumb it WAY down. Lots of pictures and pretend like you are explaining it to a 5 year old

Thank you in advance.

I have the zapper V2 and didn't have any problems. For me it was very easy to operate and it works perfectly. You see different people, different experiences...Jeff, he's asking about the Zapper V2. that device has no Ohm meter. I think your confusing it with a different device...

Its called the Spark-O-Matic WireWelder by Breaktru
Here are some links to the wire welder I built, it cost me about $35 for enough materials to build 3 welders.
I didn't have any problems building it with these two links and it works really nice.
It uses a AA Photo Flash PCB Card.
Might even help you get the one you built working

Thank you very much. The board is a little different. I ended up burning up most of the board I was using, so I had to get another one. I am drawing up a schematic before I start working on this one. The pics should really help out.

Dutch I am referring to the wire welder v2 as seen in the first and second posts.

The Spark-O-Matic WireWelder is adjustable up to well over 300 VDC.
But ~ 75 v seems to be the sweet spot for 340 to 360 uF capacitance.

Here is a link to the Spark-O-Matic Wire Welder thread on Breaktru's Forum:
The Spark-O-Matic - Wire Arc Welding for coil making

You will have to register with the forum to see the pictures.

It took a lot of trial and error but I finally built one. I couldn't figure out how to do it with the disposable flash board, so I used a LM2577 board. I bought the board on Amazon.com and I ordered the other electronic guts from digikey.com (awesome place, by the way) . https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...AFP-tIidVDRiYXIpA&sig2=wpaNYfojyipYpcYcyP1Z1g

It only joins my 36 gauge kanthal with my silver non-resistance because I can only get it up to 35v. I'll build another one that goes higher to join my fatter gauge wire.
