Wiring and fuse questions for my first mod

I am about to build my first mod. I've read through the forums a lot but still have some questions/requests for advice on my project. I'm going to be using a dna30 board and I understand what's going on with it but some of my other choices are a little different from most of the builds I'm seeing listed on here. I'm not using a pre-made box, instead I am custom building my own wooden box. Where I'm needing a little assistance is when it comes to the proper way to wire the connector I've selected and the right number and type of fuses for my battery selection. Instead of going with one of the same 510 connectors I've seen almost everywhere, I decided to use the top cap from a chi you instead because it has the adjustable center pin. My first question is what would be the best way to wire that in? The second issue I need some advice on is the right type and amount of fuses for my selected battery setup. Just because I wanted to do something a bit different than most everything else I'm seeing in my research, I decide to go with 4 18650's wired in parallel. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I can't answer about the fuses, but I can offer a tip for your 510 connection.
I too was looking at the top cap from a Chi You mod for my SX350 build, but was having difficulties trying to come up with how to wire it so I could use the adjustable center pin. If you connect the positive wire to the center pin you can not rotate it to adjust it.
Fatdaddyvapes just release a new floating center pin 510 connector for box mod builders. The voltage does not flow through the spring in it, so the conductivity should be great. He also offers an option with it for a 22mm special washer which will make for a nice flush mounting surface. With this option they are only $5.99. I have two of them on the way at the present time.
