I smoked for over 40 years. I was convinced that nothing could break my habit and that I would follow in the footsteps of my elders and die from smoking related diseases. On December 6, 2009 I tried an E Cigarette and have been using it in place of smoking ever since. The improvement in my health has been on the increase ever since. I don't understand the logic behind the FDA coming out so strongly against this life-saving product? At the same time, reputable organizations such as the American Association of Public Health Physicians support E Cigarettes.

"AAPHP favors a permissive approach to E-cigarettes because the possibility exists to save the lives of four million of the eight million current adult American smokers who will otherwise die of a tobacco-related illness over the next twenty years."

FDA approved cessation products are practically useless!

Is it the FDA’s stance that sacrificing millions of lives is warranted while they procrastinate and look for any reason (valid or not) to block E Cigarettes as a safer alternative to nicotine addicted smokers? The FDA's motives are questionable at best!

Anyone desiring to learn more than what has been fed to them in the FDA’s misleading news release (based on their debunked study) might find tobaccoharmreduction.org a good, unbiased source of information.
