Everyone seems very friendly and helpful, happy to be here. Have a lot to learn.

Smoked >30 years, as an allergy person it got harder and more painful. Then last year I had something like an asthma attack, couldn't breathe, and it scared me to death. Found e-cigs, and have been using them ever since. Feel much better. It's just about 1 year I have been on e-cigs.

Have a big stogie-like thing with no brand, looks like ego, love the battery life and strength. Though I did have to sand the black paint off. Just got a 510 tank kit, very convenient. But also have tried some scammy vendors, poor quality units, etc.

Just learned that mods (or APV?) exist, as I searched for a way to customize & improve the experience. I have been very confused about all the terminology and options, and look forward to reading all your information. I don't care what it looks like. It would be nice if it would just work without tinkering for 6 hours or so.

I do lapidary, which means I grind, shape, and polish rocks. It would be fun to find a mod that I could customize by adding an element of rock to, like jasper, or lapis lazuli, or whatever.

Welcome to ecf!!!!!!! Sounds like you have been doing very well vaping for a year, congrats! You may want to go with a VV APV that has plenty of safety features built in, not much fiddling, just use and enjoy! I just got a Provari Mini and I luv it, it is not a unit to modify or fiddle with it, it is already to go, just needs the correct batteries and charger, cartos or tank whatever and enjoy. bnrk

Now as for special DT's we have a gal, who also does lapidary work on the forum. She is working on a line of special DT's with an e cig vendor. They are doing some incredible work together and should be releasing the line very soon.

Jodetoad, I'm in the same situation as you, I smoked for 28 years, been vaping off and on for close to a year...full time vaper now that I found the right equipment. Now you got me thinking about stone...somewhere I have a bunch of amethyst I got years ago from the Thunder Bay amethyst mine....hmmmm!

I also wish I had found this forum sooner. If nothing else, I think I would have spent less money trying various juices and kits.

As for your lapidary question, I do agree that a stone drip tip would be cool.....you might also consider using a DIY kit and making your own mod. Madvapes has just about anything you would need for you own DIY mod and they even have a few kits available (Mod Kits)

I never used a drip tip, never knew they existed until the last couple days. I'll have to order one to check out the configuration. A stone tube I can shape on the outside, but detailed internal shaping would be pretty difficult. So many rocks are so beautiful, and in the photos of some of your mods, I could just see how a beautiful stone would set it off.

A thin ring of a translucent stone, like citrine, Montana or other agate, rose quartz, jade, or amethyst as mentioned above, would look wonderful over chrome.

I can see you folks will keep me busy checking out great sites I never heard of! Already checked out Silver bullet and ProVape, I'm excited at what is available. Will take some time to look it all over. I'm tired of getting cheap stuff that wears out when I least expect it - it will be fun to look at all the options.
