WISMEC Predator 228 with Elabo Kit

That's odd and not even close to my experience with the Predator in TC. The experience you are having though reminds me of my experience with the alien before the new update a couple of weeks ago. Before that update the alien was either HOT or anemic with no in between. I know others reported the same thing while some did not have that problem.

Knowing we both have most of the same mods and are pretty similar in our thoughts about them this is the only one that is a complete opposite. I would definitely try and get a replacement because something is wrong with it.

could be. I just don't know what i would say like yeah the tc doesn't work well can i have another lol. but i trust you enough that i might as well open a ticket and see what they say. plus when i do a review i don't want to review a possibly defective device because that wouldn't be very fair. what builds are you using? i know you build pretty similar to me usually so i don't think thats it. i'm swapping the 2 attys to make sure it isn't the wire or build and the kaos fires both fine no issue at around 440f one is built as a .16 the other a .25. the .16 one was even worse on the predator. now i'm trying the .16 on the alien and it sucks. way too hot again even at 360 and sometimes 360 works well. very inconsistent. it's ironic that of the 3 the kaos is doing the best at TC with the same builds and attys. I'll also try them both on the g class since i know that TC is pretty much perfect from my testing and see how they perform as well. just to triple check

That is why I am surprised, the first tank I tried in SS316 mode was my Aromamizer Plus with a parallel clapton build using advanced vape supply. That tank came right off my G Class in TC and the predator was close, that's why it really impressed me.

My Mage is using the SS430 from Unkamen, that was purposely built to try the TFR on another mod.

My EXO RTA either has AVS SS Clapton's or lightning vapes, can't really remember which.

The Tornado 150's prebuilt SS316L coil has really impressed me on my Finder DNA167, one of the best premade coils I have used in TC. It hasn't changed on the Predator, just a good clean vape.

I am going to try a tank I have a SS304 build in next, probably this weekend as I have to change cotton and clean the coils or replace.

that was gonna be my next question. what mode. i was using SS mode. so now i set 2 memory modes to test. one at 92 like SS216l should be and one at 105 like DJL recommends for TC on wismec mods. so I'm using the 0092 setting it's much more consistent but i have to turn it up to 470 for a good hit. and it needs to be really wet. doesn't really suck all the juice out. but it's consistent. so i wonder if SS mode isn't 92? if you don't mind. try your build in TCR mode at 92 and tell me if it's the same or different.

also i opened a ticket with vape NW lol but they won't respond till monday anyway because they are closed for the weekend so hopefully i have it worked out by then. i'll try the 105 setting a bit later

and as i was typing this now fully soaked 470 barely fires and 520 is a good vape. not even consistent for the time i can write a post.

Can u try it in tcr mode with 92 for ss316 and tell me how it works for you?

I'm gonna build an atty with some ss430 Clapton wire as well to test it

Took the atty off the the predator, threw it on the g class. Didn't need to adjust anything cause it was already 120j 430f ss316 mode. Set the resistance on the g class fired away and perfect hit every time. So I'll see if vapenw can swap it out for me

Have you tried it in Temp SS316L mode? If TCR 120 is too much, try backing it down to 088-092 at your normal settings & see how it goes...

I just used 28g SS316 Flat twisted coils @ .15, set it to TC SS, 50w @ 470. Really clean flavor. Hth

Yeah, that's consistent with my experience using anything but plain SS316L wire.(assuming your not using plain wire)
Note- it also behaves the same on my innokin kroma. I think it's the nature of those fancy coils...you have to adjust to what feels like the right temp. example- with a certain coil I had I would set the TC to 420 and the kroma would cut out around the 290...And with that coil and temp it vaped the same on the predator.
I can't get to the bottom of this problem...I'm new to vaping and I'm just adjusting to luke warm.

The negative threads are press fit, badly, and will dislodge from the mod easily.

My Predator was sent out just a couple of days ago. Wondering if I should return it or deal with the problems when/if they arise.

wow that's bad, I switched mine with multiple RDAs and RTAs, never got this issue. then again, I've only use it around,maybe, a week (?)

I pretty much marry my mods to specific atties and never remove them so I should be fine. Nonetheless, this is really disappointing.

yea it's a good device, thanks for the heads up though.
now I wouldnt take my atomizer off from the device unless it's REALLY needed then lol.
