I got a rx200 in December and I must say I was in love with that mod, blew everything else I owned out of the water, the temp control was spot on, vapor production was enhanced it was perfect. It had some flaws when I got it and updated it to version 1.07, would not charge with usb (not a big deal I prefer my efest luc charger anyway) but what was strange is that it displayed incorrect battery voltages. I got a set of brand new MXJO 40amp batteries (the yellow and silver ones) charged them up to 4.2 volts (for those that dont know the efest luc displays battery voltages). But I wasnt getting the battery life I expected, after a fresh charge I checked the voltages with the device off by hitting all the buttons and got some strange readings 3.82 4.65 and 3.42 I tested the batteries with a multimeter all read 4.2 volts. I contacted wismec, told them of the problem, they basically told me they could not help. I just kinda let it go and continued using the device, I knew the batteries were safe and it just cut out a bit earlier then it should usually around 3.9 volts on the batteries. Then the it started acting strange, would enter stealth mode on its own, was shutting off by itself, around that time the version 3 update came out. I updated the firmware, everything was working ok for a minute then it shut off and wouldnt power back on at all. Tried a different set of batteries that were full charged. Plugged it in with usb, still nothing I tried to downgrade the firmware back to version 1.08 computer would not recognize the device at all. Once again I contacted wismec. It took them over a week to reply to me, they asked me for some info, then asked for a copy of my receipt a picture of the box and the serial number, and a video of me demonstrating the device not working, they have a 90 day warranty on their site, and at this point I was maybe 3 weeks or so into owning the device still well under the warranty. They email me back and told me they could not warranty the device because I purchased it from ebay now the seller on ebay sold me a brand new device, for about the retail price at most vape shops, and the guy actually owns a brick and mortar vape shop and just uses ebay as his online sales. Now I am stuck with a paperweight, wismec has been no help, currently working things out with the seller trying to get a replacement. Long story short wismec/jaybo have horrible customer service, and they do not honor their warranties. Normally I do not rant about things, however, I told the lady from wismec service I believe her name was Cindy, that due to their unwillingness to help with a problem their firmware update caused I was going to share my story any way I could social media, blogs, youtube, any way I could think of and this is me making good on that promise. I do not like to bash a company or hurt a business and I understand that they did not sell me the device, however the seller did not make the firmware update that destroyed my device, and all the other issues came from prior updates to the device. I used their usb cable, I didnt run it over, or throw it, or play baseball with it, I didnt use it in any manner that was detrimental to the device, and yet they wont honor their warranty (which says nothing about cant warranty a device purchased from ebay) that just is not good business, and I would hate to see someone else in the vaping community buy one and run into the same problems and wismec come up with some other reason for not warrantying their product. So this is a rant/psa to the vaping community. If you have one and yours is working properly I am glad that you did not have the same problems I did. If you have one having some similar errors I wish you the best of luck. And if your are looking for a new device and considering a rx200... I just hope you will take my experience into consideration before you buy

Just out of curiosity, how high did you run it with those batteries? I only ask because @Mooch rated them between 15-20amps cdr (overly high temps at 20amp to give a true 20amp rating), which means they cannot safely supply more than around 150watts continuous, down to the low voltage cutoff. Not trying to lecture you on proper battery safety, just trying to gather more information.
Also, you mention numerous contacts with Wismec, but... did you contact the seller? Three weeks usually falls under the seller handling the replacement, vs manufacturer.
It may not be too late to contact the seller, they are more likely to issue a refund/replacement, since they are the ones with your money.

I honestly don't put much stock in warranties from most Chinese mod companies (not a racial bash in anyway). I say that because I've not heard many positive comments from others when it comes down to people needing help along with the simple logistics of having to send it half way around the world for service.

I have a DNA200 Reuleaux and know if I have a problem Evolv will take care of me for 1 year if it's board related. Same thing when I bought a Hcigar VT200. I got it for $119 and change (from VapeNW) but people were saying at a discounted price my warranty from Hcigar would be void. It made me laugh, I've never heard of anyone getting any warranty satisfaction from Hcigar in the first place. Since it also has the DNA200 chip, I figure Evolv will warranty the chip for a year. I respect them quite a bit for the simple fact that they actually stand behind their chip. Good luck!

PS I agree with @daveid777 about the batteries. As far as I know, the highest CDR of an 18650 we would use is 30 amps. They are a re-wrapper who are probably inflating the specs or giving you the pulse rating. However I don't believe your issues have anything to do with that.

PS In the future I would stick to the big 3 when it comes to 18650's - Samsung, LG, and Sony. I have a link in my signature to an article titled: The Top 5 18650 Batteries for Vaping. If you get a chance, you might want to check it out.

Cheers,
Steve

have a RX200. Love it. But now I have a problem
Yesterday was vaping with the Griffin Tank (.3ohm, Kanthal build, EFest 2600) on top and all of a sudden it went off. Woud not turn back on. So Took out the batteriea and reinstalled, and it came back on. Few minutes later it started firing by it self, had to unscrew tank to stop it. I checked the button to make sure it was not stuck. Would start again (firing) if I put the tank back on. So took out batteries and reinstalled to get things back to normal. But it, after a few minutes, went off again. Went through the whole process again to start over. This is happening over and over again. So it is not usable. Is there some type of reset that you can tell me about? Thank you so much

Here is summary list of the problems:
- RX200 shutting off randomly.
- Firing by itself. Firing button not pressed.
- Removing and Re-installing batteries on thing that works to reset.
- Continues to loop above problem.

Purchased 01/16/16, myvapestore.com, Order#: 1057015
