Reposted from elsewhere:

I am currently rotating five 65 mm auto batteries!! I am thinking of upgrading to an X2 for at home, and using the less expensive old ones for when I am out and about. I am confused about the various clearos which work with X2.

Volt X2, apparently does not work with the little batteries, but is tank-cracker proof. The X2 is much more expensive than the Nano's that I am using, and the replacement heads available for the T3 do not work with it.

The T3 has replacement heads. However, nothing is said about being crack-proof. It is also expensive.

The mini T3 is the same as the T3, except no replacement heads?

Finally, is the Nano crack proof? I am trying to keep it cool when using those juices reported to be tank-crackers. They are inexpensive and easily replaced. They will easily shift between batteries, and I can use cartos for the juices that are reported to be tank-crackers, if there is a problem.

Laying all the criteria out in logical form leads me to stay with the Nano, unless another supplier has something better, or someone has further information on SI products.

I don't know about cracking, as I don't use known tank busters, so I'll be of no help there.

Finding clearos can be a little tricky with the X2 batteries. Only a little, though. The outer threading is ego, but the inner 808 sticks out further than the 510 threading on the joye and vision ego batts, so many ego-threaded thingies will not fit properly or make contact with the 808 post. However, this can easily be circumvented with an adapter. Just get a shorty cone from SI for the ego threads on the battery and an 808 battery to ego atty adapter and any ego-threaded system will then fit. If you wanna use 510 threaded stuff such as the iClear, the Protank (which is pricey, but of course will not crack,) the Vivi Nova, or any of those 510 pre-punched tank cartos/drip attys, then you may also want to get an 808 to 510 adapter so you don't have the exposed ego threads of the ego adapter sticking out (the 808 to 510 is also shorter.) With those, you will effectively have the same selection you would have with any other ego-style battery. You can find them here:

901/808D Battery to 510 Atomizer Adapter
808D to eGo Adapter

This is just where I got mine. Plenty of other vendors stock these as well. You could also avoid all of that by getting a regular ego battery instead. People speak highly of the vision spinners. Personally, I just stick with SI because I like the company.

I don't think the T3 is all that expensive - no more than any other non-disposable clearo out there, anyway. The heads should last around a month each with decent cleaning. Get two extra heads along with the full tank setup, which comes with a head. When filling, dry burn and then rinse the one you just used out with warm water, give it a shake, set it aside to dry, and stick the other one in. Give the "down" one an alcohol soak every week or two and and it'll be good to go. If you keep that little rotation going, then those two heads should last quite a while and you'll still have one you can keep unopened for a backup. All in all it would cost, what... ~$15?

The mini T3 comes with a head that only differs in that it has a shorter tube. That's why there aren't replacement heads available for them. You just take that tube off and put it on any old T3 head to make it fit the smaller tank. The threading inside of the tank is exactly the same as the original T3.

I really didn't care for the nano. Mine worked great first fill then began to leak due to the tank separating at the base. Which then left ,e with hands covered in e liquid.
I only had three of fifteen do that, and one of them was fated to have failed, after what I did to it!!! Not a bad failure rate for something so inexpensive. Getting e-liquid on my hands is no problem, no nic.

From what I understand, anything made of polypropylene plastic is incredibly resistant to cracking, though it is still possible. S.I., and most other vendors as well, only use polypropylene in their clearos. But don't quote me on that.

I can say I have put cinnamon in both S.I.'s CE4 (X2 clearomizer) and NHaler's CE4+ (Crystal Vision) and neither cracked. I prefer NHaler's over S.I. because theirs have replaceable heads in 1.8, 2.4 and 2.8 ohms. It's honestly the only thing I recommend NHaler for, only because everything else I want I can get cheaper elsewhere.

The x2s and t3s both were awesome until the tanks got low. Then both had leak issues. The x2 I still pull out from time to time but my t3 just sits there...disappointing me everytime I open my vaping cabinet. The t3 had the potential to be my go to "out and about" set up when paired with a 450mah mini 808/ego battery. I'm glad I didn't buy more 808 stuff before I found the gogo.

Although I may buy another t3 just to see if maybe I got a bad one.

I have 2 t3s and 3 mini t3s at the moment and none of the ever leaked. Even when it is low on ejuice

Since I go for smooth rather than TH, I will not touch the cinnamon or clove. They appear to be the most problematic. Citrus, yes!! And I prefer to keep temp as low as I can for smooth, too. Just switched to 70VG/30water, too. So, despite others' alarmist posts, I am no longer worried. Right now I am reading http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ussion/296537-plastic-bottles-e-liquid-4.html and on to another worry.
