So.. today is my first day with no analog and I reallly want to keep it that way. I've only started vaping yesterday, and last night only had three analogs.

I know you guys probably get this question a lot but I can't tell if I'm withdrawing or vaping too little or too much. I used to smoke about a pack a day of marlboro red 100s and my e-juice nic level is 18mg. I've been vaping moderately, when I feel the need for a cigarette I take probably 5-6 puffs of vapor every hour or so. I drink a lot of coffee so my heart rate is up from what I am suspecting is more-so the caffeine than the vapor. My symptoms are sweating lots(ew), and a mild headache. Not really dizzy, but my body is sore.

Thanks for responses in advanced!

I chain vape 16mg juice, and have never felt this way. I do need to keep hydrated though, it seems to dehydrate me, or thats just the feeling my mouth gets. I've heard of people being allergic to PG juice as well.

I'm not itchy or anything and I can breathe just fine. I'm just sweating a lot and have a headache. Can't tell if I'm vaping too little, or too much.

Vaping at that rate on 18mg - I would say most likely withdrawal from the other chemicals in cigarettes. I ended up spending my first few weeks having 1 or 2 cigarettes per day kind of weening through the withdrawal (mostly because it feels pretty freaky and because my poor ciggy addict brain was convinced I should) It goes away within about 7 days and drastically improves after around 3 from what I understand for most.

Take a deep breath and vape away the cravings - This too shall pass.

PS - If you begin to feel nauseated or have anything more than a mild headache stop vaping for a little bit (hour or so) and see if it passes with a break. If so - then a little to much nic.

Sounds more like withdrawal than overdose to me. When I first started vaping, that e-cig was practically glued to my mouth for the first few days and I had none of those symptoms. It could be that the 18 mg is a little on the high side though. I smoked Virginia Slim lights, almost 2 packs a day, and started with 12 mg, which was about right.

Hi,

I'm new to vaping (15 days and haven't touched a cigarette since! :D) so I may not be the best person to give you information, but if you ask me, that sounds more like withdrawal rather than a nicotine overdose... I suggest that you try to vape a little bit more and see what happens. I used to be a pack-a-day smoker and now more or less chain vape 12mg liquids. Only when I chain vape for too long and don't keep hydrated, I get a little light headed.

Good luck!

congradulations on quitting the sticks. stay with it and you will be very happy in the end.

what you are experiencing sounds like what i went through my first few days of quitting analogs. your body is freaking out due to the lack of several thousand chemicals it is used to getting every day.

increase your water intake, cut down on caffiene and you should be fine. the worst of the withdrawl symptoms was over for me after 4 days. if you are only hitting 5 or 6 puffs ever hour or so i wouldn't think it is the vapor affecting you. according to my puff counter i have had 69 puffs in the last couple of hours and i am perfectly fine (12mg) YMMV.

one thing i have noticed is since quitting analogs i have gotten more sensitive to caffeine. i really had to cut back on it or i would start getting crazy jittery, heart racing, heart pounding...all that fun stuff. gets freaking scary if you get too much caffeine, i am 28 and thought i was having a heart attack for about 2 hours.

keep us posted, we are here to help ya through this. we have all been there in one way or another!

keep calm and vape on!

Just vape on it as if you were smoking a Ciggy, Your body will tell you how much is enough to satisfy your cravings as it did with a cigarette, Whether that be smoking the whole thing, or 3/4. The weird feelings will go away eventually. My advice would be to stay as hydrated as possible since your just starting out an all. You'll do great, We all did it and so can you!

Congratulations on the switch! Keep up the good work!

Lmfao, thanks. I bet it would've been much more endearing as well. I'm pretty girly so all of this is .. well, let's just say I'm not pleased with how much deodorant I've had to put on today. LOL. ;]

It will go away soon, don't worry too much about that. Your doing your body a great thing by quitting smokes, this is kinda your way of your body thanking you in a weird, gross sort of way Lol. Your body is getting rid of the nasty ingredients that are included with your nicotine that we all love. Sad that it wasn't just the nicotine but allot more chemicals involved as well.

And I can imagine you don't like the sweatiness. :p it's weird doing nothing strenuous but yet sweating as if you were, It gets better from here! Were here to help along the way as way, Don't be afraid to ask us any questions ;)

For how long did you smoke?

And I would say the same thing as other people, withdrawal and not nicotine overdose. A nicotine overdose goes away pretty fast, I had one before when I started vaping, I tried 32 mg, I sweat a bit and my heart was going faster but it only lasted 5 minutes. Enough to tell me I was vaping too much nicotine. Never happened again.

Oh.. I've been smoking cowboy killer 100s for 11 years straight, since I was 14.
By the end of it I went from smoking 1 1/2 packs in 2012, to one pack last summer, before I finally decided to start vaping.

Hey i had the exact same symptoms as you for the first 4 days. I think its the other chemicals, i would recommend trying to not even have a couple of analogs and upping the vaping. The problem with having the odd one or two is the nic rush... analogs are much more effective at carrying nic to the body so your effectively spiking up the nic then going cold turkey till the next...

Either way your not alone just push through it. :)
