Some people quit smoking, start vaping and feel no withdrawal symptoms at all. I wasn't like that. I was pretty edgy for the first three days and didn't feel all that good. By the end of the first week I was feeling good, but still got a lot of cigarette cravings.
I was smoking a pack and a half of Camel Blues a day for 35 years. 24 mg liquid worked well for me. I followed the same rule as you and spent about twice the amount of time vaping that I spent smoking each cigarette. The mod I used then was a single voltage 1100 mAh eGo type with a removable battery. If I was vaping the same gear then as I am today I probably would have spent less time vaping at first. I get more vapor with the newer set-up.
During the first days vape on about the same schedule as you used to follow when you smoked, but spend more time at it. Within a few days the vaping will do a better and better job of eliminating the craving. My nerves were on edge too. Quitting smoking can be stressful so stress-related symptoms like headaches, sweating, raised pulse rates, etc. are common. Do whatever you can to eliminate the stress. Taking walks and bike rides helped me, so did watching some rented flix in the evening.
Keep at it. Your goal is making it through each day at a time. Then go for the three day goal. Reward yourself for hitting it. Then shoot for the big one week goal. It's downhill from there.
