Likely broke your microUSB2 port. The awkward angle thing is often a symptom. This is why sealed battery mods are not thought well of around here. MicroUSB2 just was never designed to be used as a power source and is simply too fragile for it. You are likely SOL unless you’re brave and are willing to do som microsoldering (not worth it imho)

I suggest buying a mod with removable batteries and a charger

I agree with the above. I dare say, that most of the veteran vapers here use a regulated mod with removable external batteries and a dedicated li-ion battery charger for external batteries.

We've made that choice for multiple reasons, one which pertains to your particular experience is should the microUSB port become damaged you no longer have an option to charge the internal battery or even to use your mod again. Another reason is those internal LiPo batteries have a life expectancy of roughly 250 - 300 charge cycles, at which point the entire mod becomes an expensive paperweight. If you use a mod that uses external batteries, when the battery's life expectancy is fullfilled you simply buy an inexpensive replacement for about $6 and continue using the mod.

Might want to do some research:

It sounds to me like you broke the USB port by charging internally. It's really not designed for that it should be a single battery removable mod unless I am very much mistaken. It's the reason it's recommended that external battery mods be removed and recharged externally. It's no longer going to be able to do things like download updates and whatnot, but you can still use the mod.... In the way it was designed for use, by removing the internal battery and charging it on a dedicated charger. Most folks do that by buying (at least one) spare battery as well, so that they are able to just swap out the battery as needed.

If your mods specs indicate that it CAN be charged via USB and it's still within warranty, you'd have decent case for a warranty, IF the mods specs indicate it "can" be charged via USB. If it specifically says not to (and you have) then perhaps what is needed is to continue using the mod, using an external charger, which you should be doing anyway.

Also, it's good to know some basic battery information as well as safe, authentic merchants that sell batteries and sometimes chargers.

Here are some good places for that information:
Mooch's blog | E-Cigarette Forum
Baditude's Blogs | E-Cigarette Forum

Those should help you understand batteries, and battery safety more. And, if still under warranty and the manufacturer's specs state the mod can be charged via USB, you'd have a decent case for a warranty if it is bothering you to not have the USB port, but really it should be saved for emergencies and for updates, that's mainly what it's designed for.

Best of luck,

Anna

I got a smok priv v8 a month ago and now it won’t charge I have tried using multiple usb cables. It might work for a minute if I hold it on an awkward position but even then it still won’t charge
Welcome and glad you joined.
Might want to purchase a external charger for the "The Smok PRIV V8 Kit includes a PRIV V8 mod and a TFV8 baby tank. It is designed with a big far button and uses a removable 18650 battery as the power source,".

If you do not want to invest in back up batterie(s), carrying case, volt meter(s), wraps, charger(s) (backup), battery Do's and Don'ts (Much higher learning curve not to mention the batteries themselves).
Might want to look into the Eleaf Istick 40TCw, been using my internal battery mods (have 2 in rotation) for the last two years without a problem. The Istick's are top quality.
