Hey all,

I figured I would share that I won a wooden mod while watching Vapor Vixxxen's show and I even got to name it!!!
I won't take full credit for the name (User uo7 came up with it first in the chat) but I called it The Knotty Box and can't wait to get it.

The only problem being I can't seem to find any Canadian vendors who sell the right batteries, which are 14500's. Does anyone have a suggestion?

P.S. The Knotty Box will be sold at Vapinaughty Mods soon and I will post a review, as I was requested to do so by Vapor Vixxxen. :2cool:

Hi Noizmaker! I was stumped at first too, but found a source. Electronic Cigz has 'em - and they're right here in Ontario!

14500 900mAh 3.7V Battery - Protected

Compatible charger too (for 14500 & 18650 batts):

3.7V Battery Charger

With Electronic Cigz, you have the wonderful Interac EMT option for payment...shipping should be pretty speedy (I mean it's coming from Guelph, lol, plus I've heard good things here on the forum)...you're golden.

Alternatively, for an American source there's ProVape. They're in Washington, west coast - & they the same 900 mAh batt that our Canadian supplier Electronic Cigz has. I mention them mainly because they also have another more expensive 750 mAh one. They claim that the 750 mAh one is actually a stronger battery (& from the description, it certainly sounds fancier)...which is why it's $10.50 USD vs $3.95 USD for the other one. Like Electronic Cigz, they also have a charger on the same page, for $15.95. But the ProVape one will charge 14500, 18490, and 18650 batts.

E-Cig Accessories, Atomizers, & Parts

Both sites are gonna run you basically the same price, give or take 2 or 3 bucks, to get 2 of the 900 mAh batts + a charger. Using the coupon code ecf (5% off), it'll be $38.13 Canadian from Electronic-Cigz. $40.80 USD from ProVape (or $53.90 USD if you go with the fancier batts). ProVape offers the fancier (but lower mAh) option; Electronic Cigz offers you speedier delivery & Interac EMT convenience from home in Ontario. Bear in mind that both batts are protected...so yeah.

Hope that helps!

It certainly does, thank you Rachel! I have the charger for my 18650's so this should be very cheap :D

Congrats Noiz !! winning something (anything) is awesome !

For 14500 protected batteries I've always purchased the TrustFires from DealExtreme and never had issue: TrustFire 3.7v 900mAh protected batteries

For the multi charger I use with it I also bought the TrustFire brand from DealExtreme: TrustFire multi charger

Enjoy your new TOY....

I checked out their site and I think the tekkeon mod looks really awesome, plus it doubles as a 5v charging source. I realize it's just a modded portable usb power source but it's one of the cleanest looking mods I've ever seen. And you've gotta give props to any supplier who will show you how to make their mods yourself if you so please. YouTube - The Tekkeon E Cig Mod Unwrapped found that when researching it.

The big seller for me too was the catch cup. I wish I could have those for my own mods!

Well, I still haven't received this prize but I hope to this week sometime. Roughly 4 months ago we lost our old postal worker and now the new one is terrible. Call me ballsy but I complained directly to Canada Post about him, the same as I would for any other horrible service.

When and if I finally do receive this prize.. I will have to do everything then, I will have pics and a review.

Hope it comes to ya soon Noiz !!

Want to hear ballsy ?... Most time my lil country outlet office (lil farmhouse), locks the door when they see me coming ever since barging in there ready to kill the lier that said they delivered when they didn't TWICE. I LOST IT !... and now they phone my house before delivering ANYTHING wanting to know how "I" want to handle it... hahaha. Going POSTAL on the POSTAL outlet.... aint THAT a pip, lol.

VapeOn,
Greg

hahaha, it sounds like you and I have this in common Greg! I would have done the exact same thing!

I figure if this was a restaurant setting no one would have a problem complaining about it, so I made a point to. Plus, postal workers make much more $$$.

Random new mail guy today though, and still no package sadly. Tomorrow is another day :)
