Wondering if a cloned ego 1100mah kit has lead in it that can affect me?

Hello Everyone~
I just bought what I thought was an Ego 1100mah double battery kit on the 'eb' site. Started using it and immediately the inside of the battery is showing discoloration. Learning that all of these come from China and that they have a problem with lead showing up in so many of our products, leave me to wonder if this battery is painted lead and not stainless steel.
Appreciate any and all help! Thanks...

u mean the battery tube? no its not lead it may have some slight insignificant amount if its made from scrap metal which i think china does sometimes to save money, especially in copper mods or atties. I dont buy copper attys from china cuz they have impurities from melted down copper scrap, like lead from solder. but an ego battery wouldn't be made of lead, and ur only holding it I wouldn't worry about it

How is it that you opened it to see the insides ?

China metal is mystery metal. Pretty much no chance it is stainless steel; just whatever the smelter had at the time plus fillers...

Thanks for the welcome! Btw-Love your quote I don't know the exact term for the top inside where you screw the clearomizer into it?
It was shiny when I received it and then started using it until the battery died-when I unscrewed the clearomizer that is when I saw the discoloration-it had a dullness to it.

That is the connector...have you tried taking a damp q-tip and cleaning it ?
Could just be e-liquid

Ah, what Classwife said then; just clean it with a q-tip or the corner of a paper towel. It's normal to have a little juice leak through
Some will just get darker with use too .

You can use a bit of metal polish, like Nevr Dull, then hit it with a Qtip, or even a bit of alcohol on a qtip. It is probably brass not lead. Lead would be super soft like a fishing weight.

Or you can start with a damp Q-tip (water), kind of depends on how long it's been there if it's juice.
Whatever you use make sure it's dry before you use it again

Hello again-Thank all of you for your help! I tried a qtip and sure enough there was ejuice on the connector and it cleaned it out...just perfect!
Of course I have another question, lol (as you can tell by the name I chose Having just received this kit- I needed to fill it with e juice. Well the tip come off smoothly and easily. Now when I refill it I felt like I was having my teeth pulled without novicaine
It won't go back in easily and when I turn it to get it in, (again I don't know the part names) the metal tip section starts moving all over the place, it has a gap between the tip section, and I have no idea how it eventually gets in place! Big mystery to me but I am certain that the knowledgeable people here will be able to help me. Btw-the clearomizers came with the kit.
