I too was a crazy teenager and I tried my best to get dry socket. I smoked, I sucked on straws constantly... Unfortunately for me at the time, nothing worked. I'd go ahead and keep vaping if I were you. But definitely use lower to no nicotine.

Why the low nicotine? Wouldn't high nic cut down on the amount of vaping?

If you're vaping with a more open draw, and are careful not to suck too hard, you should be ok. (I smoked on the way home way back when)

The only thing that concerns me is the drying out effect of vaping. Make very, very sure to keep your mouth (and sockets) moist.

Your best bet is to abstain for a day at least, but if you must vape, be cautious.

Getting two wisdom tooth removed. They mentioned they need to be removed due to their decaying status. If kept, it will cause pain pushing other teeth. Shrug... I get the feeling I wont be able to vape at all after the surgery. Most of my stuff or low or medium nic. Should I put them on the side until I heal up?

I would say actually ask your doctor if you should or not and what to be cautious of. Had a friend of mine have two teeth removed and they said she could vape but not smoke, friend was a smoker and the dentist she went to was one who enjoyed vaping. If you want an official answer, check with the doctor and make sure they know the base line ingredients such as Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin, which are the normal two bases for them.

Some (maybe most) are going to call me gross, crazy, whatever.... but as addicted to nic as I am, I smoked through my nose after having my wisdom teeth pulled. Yep, stuck it straight in my nose, held the other side shut, and inhaled from there. Went through 2-3 days like that, at least a pack a day.

If I were you, and worried about sucking clots out, I'd do the same vaping. But that's just old, gross, addicted nic junkie me!

I can tell you what happens if you get Dry Socket....Its a pain that goes right down to the bones, aching and a dull throbbing that no medication can take care of. When you go back in they pack it with cloves and gauze (which tastes nasty as anything). The pain dose not go away it just dulls for a time. Also dry socket will extend healing time by a large amount, four weeks or more.
A lot of dry socket depends on your dentist as well, I've had 3 teeth pulled thus far, 2 of them I got dry socket and 1 I did not, keep in mind smoked through all of the teeth removal so no factors changed. I'd second that and ask the doctor if he has had a issue with dry socket in his patience, if so then either find another doctor or prepare for the worse case if you have to vape.

Ugh I dunno. The worst experience of my entire life was dry socket from getting a wisdom tooth out. While the odds are in your favor, I'd have to say it just isn't worth it. If I had to do it over p, I would GLADLY abstain for 2-3 days. You have to get that initial clotting/healing done and suction on anything; a pv, a cigarette, a straw can interfere with that.
It's your call, but I could never in good conscience ever recommend it!

I don't know whether you should or shouldn't. I smoked after having mine out and was fine, but maybe I just got very lucky. I know I was careful to take light, easy drags. What I did want to say is that I've had four surgeries and couldn't smoke in the hospital after and it wasn't as bad as I worried it would be. The drugs they give you for pain helped me not think about smoking too much. Hopefully if you can't vape or can only do it every couple of hours, it won't be as bad as you think because of the pain pills. By the time you are alert enough to really want a vape, you'll be able to. I would definitely ask the doctor though. They tend to err on the side of caution and tell you not to do something even if there is only a remote possibility that it will harm you, but you'll have to be the judge.

LOL!!! Oh wow that is amazing. About 7 years ago I decided to go to a very cheap oral surgeon. Bad idea, he took out two top molars and the roots were in my sinus. Well ugh my sinus got ripped and he didn't do a graft. Drove home (60 miles) with blood pouring out of my mouth into a pepsi can. All I could think about is how bad I wanted to smoke the whole way home. Major pain and freaking out. Rolled the windows up on my car and just lit one cigarette after the other. Tried puffing but it made the bleeding worse. Then there was the wisdom teeth on the bottom I got pulled later on. I smoked through that and chewed too. It can be done, but you really can't prepare yourself for the masive pain. Ask the dentist if keeping a wet tea bag on the area might make it safer. That helps too.
