I am over six months cigarette free and have got into building wood box mods. Currently only tinkered with static voltage, but am dead set on building a VV version of these.

But living in an apartment has it's limitations. Here's a really nice source for boxes with slider tops and they come in various dimensions. I have been told the inside compartment is 3/4" deep on the "medium" ones - a handy deepage. (So to speak...)
