Well guys im about to venture and try to make me a wood mod and i want ask some question to you guys to see if you guy can help me the mod im hoping to make it in a shape similar to the kimech SVA ( the link is for a clone but the pictures give the idea of what i want to acomplish ) :

https://www.google.com.pr/url?sa=t&...BhAB&usg=AOvVaw3rMCfna1nj_27UVb1KKpNA&ampcf=1

I want to make the mod regulated and not squonker it wont be in any mean the same as the pictures but i like the rounded shape of it and the compact design.

So is there a way or tool that can help me make a cast with an aproximate dimensions or a mold that i can print to cast the wood?

wich tools you guys think i could need to make it happens ?

Thanks in advance

Still mystified. You want to make a maquette of the device then measure it and make it in wood?

The standard method for making Maquettes in art school back in the day was to use medium weight urethane foam then finish them with bondo the foam sands and cuts very easily speeding production
actually i need like pattern ... something that i can draw or create a patter with the dimensions i want and print it so i can use as a guide to make the cuts i want

To get that shape with wood all you need is piece of stabilized wood cut to size, a router and the right bit to round your sides over. I'd checkout Pdib's Pinch design that where the chinese stole it from.
that could work but is there a way to make precise cut with router ? and btw im not looking for a squonker so its a diferent animal it wont be that easy

sure i have to do it but i need a program to do it and i dont know wich one
You mean you want to 3d model it and print it? In like solidworks or something? You said wood though. You’d need access to a CNC router. Such things are easier to find then they used to be though

I'm still not quite clear on what you want, sorry. You'd need some sort of design software you can use and a 3D printer, but are you asking for some sort of design blueprint, or you want to make it entirely yourself?

Do you have the necessary skill to design yourself, or are you looking for a "guide." It might be worth looking at a mod housing that you can purchase, and place wood over it, I'd guess, although it also begs the question what type of wood do you have in mind which will also need to be created/hunted down by your and etc.

Good luck,

Anna

I’m a woodworker and have made a couple wooden mods for friends out of wood. I used a router to do it and you can get what you want with a router. The thing is you would need to make a template for the bearings on the router but to ride on. Not hard. Just need to design a template on paper then transfer it onto a piece of plywood and cut it out with a bandsaw the the inside with a jigsaw or scroll saw.

If your wanting make it by putting sides and back of the enclosure together you can draw a template out on paper then glue it to ur panels and cut them out then put them together to build your mod. Hope this helps.
