Have 2 Grands, RM2's and happy as a lark. Want a woodvil and here is the Question? Rob has indicated that later this year he is going to work on Mechanical woodvil. I love my mechanical reo's, have spare parts and can just about fix any inconvience and this I like very much. What would the difference be between the woodvil's going on sale soon and the all mechanical ones later?? Any insight or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The mechanical wood REO's are wired with a on/off switch and a push button. There are wires that connect to the upper contact and the spring plate. Unlike the metal REO's where the body completes the circuit.

The set-up in the new mechanical REO's would allow for the elimination of the wires to complete the circuit.

This is just me talking. This did not come from reosmods.

1.2 or 1.3 ohm is my sweet spot, no sub ohmer here. Thanks.

That is fine on the woodville from everything I have seen. You can't really lose with a reo. If you buy a mechanical wood after and decide not to keep the original...it will take all of ten minutes to sell for a good price.

Being from New York, the winter is pretty cold and the summers are humid. Any problem with woodvil door shrinking or swelling? Thanks

check out some posts by "Big Hitter". he's from NY, and only owns woods. he's posted pics of his Woodvils on ski trips, roughing it, and the occasional sub-orbital launch. :)
