Good Morning All!
I have come to realize that Woodvils are a great investment!
There were 2 stabilized burl Woodvils in the classies yesterday offered by the same seller and both sold within a half hour !!!
It floored me that someone would actually sell not one but TWO Woodvils! Very rare occurance!
I was too slow on the trigger finger unlike someone else I think I know! :)

You are correct that they were stabilized burl. There are a few different burl Woodvils that are not stabilized. Stabilized is recognized by the colors and the texture of the finished product. Box Elder wood is usually used to stabilize. A dye and stabilizer are injected in the wood.
Regular burl Woodvils have the wood patterns and grain that you can feel. I have a Redwood Burl, and a Maple Burl and they both have prominent grain patterns. I also have a couple Box Elder Stabilized burl that are smooth as glass.

Just make sure if you are going by verbal and not pics that you clarify what you want. Stabilized burl in different colors, or a natural Burl wood.
