after watching the innokin lea issues vid (sure if may sound silly if it only happens when plugged in) it reminded me how scary it was to realize how many people may be using li ion rechargeables, (omg multi cell setups!!!) coming from candlepowerforums and having some knowledge of the dangers, I could only recommend that people are purchasing safe devices, CHECKING VOLTAGES BEFORE AND AFTER CHARGER AND ALWAYS MATCHING VOLTAGE FOR MULTI CELL SETUPS. Seriously, a lot of these devices come with li ion charges, and they're generally less than ideal. There are only a couple li ion chargers in the world that use the proper charging algorithm, that said, i recommend the PILA IBC. Quality cells such as aw are generally a good idea as well and I wouldnt think you would want to use unprotected cells in a multi cell. Never let your voltage go below 3.2 straight from the cell, read on a voltmeter and when you're charging, remove cells immediately after they're done as voltage must never go above 4.2 straight from the cell. Be safe and take care!
just remember, LI IONS VENT WITH FIRE possible explosion, small albeit dangerous
Now a quick question...
Can anyone tell me why we would pay $200 for a device that would cost $30-80 (considering all the parts, manufacturing, potentiometer, switch etc..) if it were a flashlight? Is it just that it's a new idea being milked?
Started this kick a couple weeks ago and soon will want to get into something a little different than my v2 and greensmartliving, though for portability and size concerns these are irreplaceable.
