Work device needed (help)

I do construction work and I'm really looking for something rugged, battery life being good, and cheap enough to replace if broken.

I've been looking for something to use and I haven't found anything that fits the description. Maybe the cheap part doesn't matter as much as the tough and battery life. I would like something small though. I work 10 to 12 hour days usually so battery life really matters. Any help would be appreciated.

I 2nd both the elvt and the mvp, both are rugged and reasonably priced. The mvp is a proven mod, both in reliability and battery life. I'm also in construction and I carry a Cana mod with various atties and it's held up great. I will let you know how my next (and likely final) mod performs in the field as I'm getting a reo in about 2 days. Hope you find one that works for you.

Rugged, can take a beating and has lasted me nearly 4 years... a Provari. I won't lie and call them cheap but I've dropped mine out of a 5 story apartment window by accident ran downstairs picked it up and she still worked. There is a sub-forum on this site all about the mod check it out, there are plenty of testimonials there.

I thought about the e-lvt and the mvp 2 but I was sort of concerned about the battery life on them. I can't lie I haven't had the best luck with 18650 batteries.

I also thought about the Dovpo (sp?) E-mech someone told me that it had an internal battery that lasts a couple days on a full charge. But I didn't find any information on how tough they are.

I will look up the Provari that sounds really rugged. I have never tried an Ego. I use an Innokin vv 3.0 now at work the battery is great but they aren't too tough.

Reo Grand.

Most wouldn't argue that it's about as bullet proof as an mod can get. That goes for the juice/topper system too. It's infallible and will last you a lifetime.

I quickly photoshopped 3 of them over a construction site for ya. They look right at home to me. :D

Don't be too concerned with batt life on the mvp, it's a 2600mah batt if I'm not mistaken and lasts most folks days of regular vaping. An 18650 batt should run an entire work day with no issues, even with a relatively low built rda. I use Sony vtc4s and they get through nearly a whole day of heavy vaping using my nautilus or kayfun (both are above an ohm). Honestly, like myself and another has said, the reo may be worth investigating, not cheap, but certainly near bullet proof. And it carries 6ml juice on board.

Keep us posted on your research and decisions!

I too have a construction type job and plan on buying a elvt this week. Drywall dust is my biggest concern so I think it may be a good fit for my work setup. Not the coolest looking but if it works as advertised it should be fine. Thinking of adding a Nemisis clone for the fun of it as well.

Just a few FYI's on the elvt.

1.) It's not waterproof, it's slightly more "water resistant."

2.) PBusardo recently put off his review of it, because after talking to the guys who make it at Vape Blast last weekend, they informed him that a new 30W updated version is coming out in a month or two. So you may want to hold your horses on that.

Thanks for the heads up on the future release . Any pics or anything out there on it yet?

As to the water proof thing I read the elvt toilet thread lol. I already assumed it was not like an otterbox and figured splash proof and water resistant would be enough for me. Dust is something I am a bit .... about though. I use dust extraction for the most part but every now and then you find yourself ready to call it a day and for-go without setting the machine up.

I have a hard time deciding whether to suggest the Provari or the Reo for this kind of use. My Provari has lasted like 3.5 years without issue, despite countless drops. On the other hand, my Reo flew off the roof of my car and smacked the pavement at 60mph, and after replacing the battery and atomizer, still worked perfectly as well.

OP can take from that what they will.
