Thought you guys might appreciate this. Before the pics let me just make clear that this is a one-off diy mod for my own use. I'm not interested in selling anything or infringing on Rob's design. So with that said ...

So far, I have this ...

Have a little fit and finish to complete this weekend and still need to cut the squonking window in the door and polish it up ... but we have vapor.

Good luck. Looks like a lot of work but you have skills to make it work. Its good you don't want to infringe on Rob's design. He has on retainer the Law Firm of Screwem, Hitmann & Berrium.

I'll post more pics after I get this finished up this weekend, but for now, the internals are a 510 from Fatdaddyvapes and a REO rebuild kit.

Honestly this seems like the logical next step. I'd buy the hell out of one, now I'll have to hold off on my next REO and see if Rob picks up on this

Just my sorryazz opinion but you should have made it wider to hold a 30 or 50 ml bottle. I must say it's great work I like it.

I think it could be a bit wider too, but not that wide. I think a 26650 and a 9ml bottle would be fricken awesome, it would last sub-ohmers all day. I'm constantly rotating 4 VTCs over the course of a day now.

About the size and sticking with a 6ml bottle ...

The first thing is that the stock I had on hand wasn't big enough to fit a larger bottle in there. I'm making this more as a learning project on the mini mill I picked up, rather than any thought that a 26650 REO is a particularly good idea.

The second thing though is that after handling the mod, I don't think I'd try to put a bigger bottle in even if I had the right size stock to do so. With a decent set of prints to start with and some tighter tolerances, you could probably make a reasonable design to fit a 9ml bottle in there, but any larger than that and it would just start getting silly wide. Now, if someone had the ability to create custom shaped bottles that could take advantage of some of the void space the bigger battery creates, then you could fit a ton of juice in one this size.

When I finish this up, I'll post some pics that hopefully show how it really is pushing the limits of what's acceptable to hold in one hand.

What type of mini-mill did you get, do you have a link? If you need a larger bottle later on, there is a square 9ml bottle available that is the same width as the round 6ml bottle (square bottles thread). There are also larger rectangular ones that might fit.

I don't see where you get that info - a MNKE 26650 is rated at only 20A constant discharge. For brutal sub builds it's not enough if you build in some margin of safety and a lot of 18650s outperform them.

I havent really looked into many of the 26650s so you very well could be right, but I was understanding there was a panasonic or sony rated at 50amps.

I like the mod - and i like big battery mods anyway, but given their improvements over the last few years, dual 18650 battery mods may have more traction than just 26650s, because as far as i can see, the batteries just don't have the ooomph.

Yeah but how could you make a bottom feeder with dual 650s? It would end up so wide you could barely grip it or you'd have to figure out a thicker body and put them in sort of a triangle configuration with the feed bottle in the point of the triangle. Kind of like this 3 battery holder

Finished the detail work. I decided to paint this rather than polish, so it's sitting in the garage waiting for paint to dry. I'm doing a bunch of coats plus clear coat so it might take a few days to get that finished and pics posted. I'll make sure to take a pic with things completely disassembled.
