Thinner walls while adding so much weight via battery is scary to me in terms of losing part of what REOs are so highly regarded for; toughness and duribility. If I am sitting at home or in the office, at a desk, for hours, I have batteries virtually at arms reach. If I'm out and about or doing grunge work I certainly want the compactness of a Grand (my preference is 18490 Mini), little extra weight, and I certainly NEED the existing THICK WALLS.

So I'd get one mainly to have one for collection and desk use.

The solution is under your eyes... SL Maxi Reo! 26650 batt with new light chassis!

I'm all about bigger batteries, and more mah. But my 18650's are lasting a solid 10hrs. I have a habbit of changing the batt in the morning before i go to work, then in the evening before dinner, I suppose with the 26mm I might not have to do the second change but its not like the 26mm will last that much longer above 3.8v. i'd be sacrificing portability (pocketability), and in my mind if I know im going to be out and about for more than 12hrs it's no big deal to just stash a spare batt in the car.

A true game changer would be a usb passthrough/charger built in... but that would change the whole dynamic of having a ruggedly simple mech mod. (I'm pretty sure turbocad's DNA REO can do this)

Check out this comparason between our aw imr 1600 and the sony 26650. Vaping at 10A there is no benifit to going to 26650, and at 7A the 26650 lasts about twice as long. I vape a .5ohm coil which would fall somewhere between those two and I'm not sure that the added longevity would make up for the larger size.

There is definitely an advantage if you are vaping higher than a .7ohm coil. Vaping a 1ohm coil there would be a 3x increase in battery life (4.2 - 3.8V). Also keep in mind that the only 26650 on that batt comparator site was the sony, so other brands will have other curves.

My previous post was just about my personal vaping style (0.45 - 0.55 ohm), which wouldn't offer me much gain to switch to the sony 26mm.

I think my idea of having the 26650 with a 30 or even 50 ml juice bottle would make a great table mod. It would have to be just for some people. People who use one juice or have a ADV or favorite juice for sitting back and chillin'. As far as being a mod for the masses I don't think it would make it because of the low number of them being made. Too much of a niche thing. But it is always good to dream.

I built a 26650 bf and I really like it, it def lasts longer than a 18650, 18650 needs a battery change for me for a full day if it's my only mod where the 26650 lats till bedtime no problem. the difference in size is not as big as you may think. the reo woodville fits in a footprint of 1" x 2" where my 26650 wood mod has a footprint just under 1.5" x 2.5", so it's 1/2" thicker and 1/2" wider, still fits in hand well and still pocketable although yeah it is a little bit fat :)
