Robin!!! You're logging all the links...sweet!!![]()
I couldn't find much when I checked for Vaping Day news stories, but I did find these:
E-Cigarette Stories Are Increasingly Popular | The New York Observer
(In fact, with no studies showing e-cigarette age ranges, we’ll put our money on the products being mostly consumed by older adults who are trying to quit smoking, as the products aren’t very “cool.”)
E-cigarette Sales Surpass $1 Billion As Big Tobacco Moves In - Forbes
With revenue from e-cigarettes expected to double this year to over $1 billion and up to $1.7 billion by some estimates...
House Dems call for cigar, e-cigarette regulations over 'kid-friendly' products - The Hill's RegWatch
A recent report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that 1.78 million middle- and high-school students have used e-cigarettes, which vaporize nicotine without producing smoke.
How many teens tried tobacco cigarettes during the same time period?![]()
Oh damn, I forgot about the CASAA meeting!

I sent the following version, with 6 bounce-backs:
"Subject: National & World Vaping Day - My Story
It has been 48 days since my last cigarette. That comes to
1584 cigarettes that I have NOT smoked and over $450 that I have NOT spent on tobacco cigarettes. I owe that to electronic cigarettes.
I am a 32 year old professional female who started smoking at the age of 15, and who used to smoke between 1 1/2 and 2 packs a day.
I want to get the word out to every news organization and ask that you not be mislead by the advocates of big tobacco and big pharmacy who claim that e-cigarettes are bad for you. Cigarettes are much more harmful!
The smokers of this world have children, spouses, etc., who would, at one time, have faced the devastation of watching their loved ones die a miserable death from cigarettes. But thanks to the modern technology of the e cigarette, there is HOPE.
Please keep my story in mind when the time comes for you to run a story on the e cigarette "craze". I would hope that your organization will recognize the e cigarette as the precious, life-saving tool that it is, and will be responsible enough to refrain from inciting public fear and/or disapproval of the e cigarette in any way. You have the power to save many lives if you commit yourselves to this idea.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email."
It feels great to be a part of something like this!

I sent my email...and got a reply for the LA times almost immediately that my email will be reviewed within 7 days....
Feels good to be a part of this...I also posted on my facebook and got lots of feedback from friends who were smokers. None have quit with ecigs, but that's okay, I appreciated the positive responses![]()
Dont Sweat the bounce back ones Robin I have yet to send a list of emails weather it be fro CASAA Or any of the other Politically motivated email list Im involved with that did not have bounce back.
WJRR rocks!!!![]()
Just a reminder, they are every other week. Since this one was on a Thursday, the next one in 2 weeks will be on Sunday. They flip, flop like that. Just watch for the email. I forget if it's been a week or if 2 weeks have gone by.
We didn't trend heavily enough, but it's really not bad, for something slapped together with only 2 weeks notice. It just means that the impact might take longer to notice.
Kudos to Robin, for pushing through with a "most excellent" idea.
