Hi everyone,

I need some advice, as I am thinking of reccomending an E-Cig to my dad. He has had heart trouble lately and narrowing on arteries. He also still smokes analogs.

Should I reccomend / buy an E-Cig for him? The obvious answer would be yes, but I would just like to get a second opinion.

Im going to give you my honest opinion. I have experience with this because my dad just had a heart attack oct of 2012 2 days before his birthday. He was a heavy smoker and it was just not the best time in our lives. He has to realize that he should not smoke at all! the problem with recommending vaping is that it is a healthier alternative but the doctor also explained to us that vaping should be dodged as well because the nicotine is what raises blood pressure. higher blood pressure getting pushed through narrow arteries is very serious it can and will lead to a heart attack. so please be careful and take precaution of your dads actions. recommend a low dose of nicotine 6mg is the highest he should vape and gradually decrease his intake. I wish him the best of health and hope he stops analogs ASAP!

I had a triple bypass in June, smoking is not good. However nicotine is not good either, but given the choice and from personal experience I would say vaping is not AS BAD as smoking. Quitting nicotine is by far the best choice.

But given the option of vaping and smoking, I personally would pick vaping. Good luck with your efforts and I hope your father is around for many years to come.

Thanx, his heart issues are fairly mild at the moment, but that could change quite quickly. He's on Warfarin at the moment, which helps.

I just wish he would quit smoking, and thought switching him to vaping would make it easier to quit for him. Vaping did wonders for me - quit the nasties 2 days after I started vaping.

But I believe he will quit, sooner or later. Just hope it is sooner.
