Yeah, I'm starting to get over the concern about the insulator and wanting to order one. Every review is raving about the flavor and how well this RTA wicks. I'll just have to do as you suggested - keep the coils low and pulse just enough to get rid of hot spots.Wow, really liking this atomizer. Simply amazing flavor, easy to fill, everything about it is great imo. Don't be afraid of the insulator burning, you really have to build it wrong and pulse the coils til they are damn near molten for them to melt. Push them coils down to where they are a mm or two away from the airflow and they aren't even close to the insulator. Pulse them at low wattage just enough to see the hot spots and everything will be fine. Best flavor I've had from an RTA to date. Airflow is just perfect. I use SS Alien coils built 5 wraps ohming out to .2 on a 2.5mm rod, perfect amount of cotton for the juice flow holes and everything.

None at all if you get the right amount of cotton in the juice holes. I use a 2.5mm coil packed snugly and it seems to be a perfect amount of cotton for the juice holes.any leaking/condensation issues with this rta?
Oh crap that sucks, but then again I would imagine that 2 mm coils is on the small side to fill up those big wicking holes, hope 3 mm coils works out better for you bud;-) keep us updated if in fact that solved the issue,I have to wait a bit to order mine with the Chinese holiday in all no body as the thing in stock :-( but hopefully next week I should be able to score and will report in ad well;-)it is pretty whistle-y
Btw it might be wisling on you cause the coils are too small and too much air might be passing by the coils? Not sure just a thought.it is pretty whistle-y
Gotcha;-)it's noisy when you cut the airflow down from anything but wide open
Hey dp how's it going bud, long time no chat, you've the xo rta for a while now as I remember we had a few conversations about how muted the flavor is,mines back in its box where it belongs I never got into it,frankly I hated it lol, glad your going to get the troll rta as am going to nab one soon as well, looking forward to reading your thoughts on it cuz they are always well detailed and very helpful as well, have a great week end my friend and we will talk soon;-)Franck, I will be ordering this next week as well. Looks promising.
Have the EXO RTA and the Engine Nano coming so I'll have something to play with while I wait for the Troll from 3F
leaks with 2mm coils for me, but I'm used to building for tanks with much smaller decks that like thinner wicks. I'm going to finish the tank I'm vaping and throw a 3mm build on it to see if the additional wick does the trick. If it didn't leak it'd be perfect, so I have my fingers crossed for the 3mm build.
Glad to hear it's working out great for you bud,I would still like to hear from someone that as one and could compare it to the obs engine as far as air flow, wicking ease, and over all performance ;-)Im using 3mm coils, leaked for the first refill, i think its coz i didnt saturate my cotton enough for it to expand. Its been a week and havent leaked since. Dual fused claptons .15ohms firing at 70w. I love this thing!
Am sorry to hear bud, hopefully it still works good and does not taste nasty lol, thanks for sharing am sure that will help a lot of us less experienced vapers( me included) lolNot gonna lie....i actually managed to burn my insulator a "smidge" my 4th day with it causing a brown spot, and that was me just pulsing the coils a little bit, so you should definitely pay attention when messing with your build. I also make sure to have my coils a reasonable distance from the insulator as well, but it still happened to me...but besides all that its still a great RTA.
