Long time reader of the forums, finally made an account.
I'm in need of a new mod and looking for advice or opinions. I've been vaping for about three or four years and for about the last two and a half years, my main devices have been an IPV2 and iStick 50w, with an original Kanger Subtank and original Aspire Atlantis. The Atlantis is no longer with me, due to an unfortunate incident with a moment of excitement during a football game and unintentionally testing its flight capabilities, but the Subtank is still alive and kicking. However, both of my mods are on their way out the door from standard wear and tear over the years. I'm also very open to suggestions to upgrade my tank. The little sucker is still plugging along well, but it is quite old.
Obviously I haven't upgraded in a long time and with many more options available these days, it's a little overwhelming. I tried a new setup once a little over a year ago, but I was unsatisfied with it, so I wanted to ask for some direction first. Here's a basic rundown of what I'm looking for in a mod (I'm happy with the iStick 50w and could just try to find another, but I'm not sure if there's something better out there):
Only one battery needed, with a charging port on the unit
Can run at least 40-50w, I usually run about 30-35w on a 0.5 ohm coil
Solid battery life (full day of moderate use)
Prefer box over tube style
Prefer not to pay over $50, but will if it's worth it
Temperature control options don't matter to me
For reference, the setup I wasn't happy with was:
Sigelei 75w TC. Felt like it drained battery rather quickly and the charging port loosened up pretty quick, so it will not reliably charge, but that could just be chalked up to bad luck.
Uwell Crown tank. Had good reviews at the time, but just wasn't my thing. I felt like it required more power to work well than I liked, which also contributed to poor battery life.
Sorry if this is a little long and tedious, but I wanted to be as detailed as I could to avoid confusion. I greatly appreciate any input! Thanks!
