Would sealing 1/2 of the vents be the same as Low Resistance atomizer?

Attys have a resistor in them so they can alter and change the wattage they vape at. LR attys have lower resistance so they vape at higher watts. The higher the watts, the more heat and faster they break down and vape the juices. This is at least my undestanding. Sealing the holes will not change resistance.

It's a lower ohm coil. We're talking watts here/Ohm's law. A lower Ohm coil will produce a higher amp draw which simulates a regular atty at a higher voltage. More watts = more vapor production. Think 100 watt light bulb compared to 60. The 110 volts is the same but you get a brighter light, at a cost ($ = battery life).

I've been using the EastMall LR atties for a couple of weeks now and I must say, kudos EM. These things are da bomb. Tried a couple of other brands and yeah. 2 weeks rotating 2 atties and goodness prevails. Stood up to a cleaning cycle as well.

Thanks modistru. Well explained. If you wanna try out vaping at 5V Xanax, this will give you an idea of what its like before spending the cash. Try a LR atty out. They are great.

I would think the lower life span comes from more heat generated quicker from the extra power.

I actually have two LR's on the way! Which is why I'm trying to gather as much knowledge as I can about them right now. Also I have a 5v Passthrough and wall AV-USB Adapter on the way too. I will be using my regular 510's on my passthrough and got the LR's for if I really like the whole 5v experience :)
