Would someone run a test for me??

Would someone run a test for me, please?? I would like you to use your ProVari and tell me the resistance change over time of a new atty. 1 hour increments first day then 8 hour increments. I am trying to clear (in MY mind:facepalm:) up the relevance of the use of a device that checks resistance automatically.
Thanks
Bob

funny thing .. I just checked the resistance of my ego-T atty, I have 2 .. one measured 1.7 and the other 2.2, these I double checked with a fluke 77 when I first got the provari, basically ok to 0.1 ohm.

anyway .. i just looked 10 seconds before I saw this post and noticed my 2.2 ohm one is now 2.0 ohm .. weird. I was thinking how odd its gone down (I will double check with the fluke later), would expect it to increase if any change at all. neither atty where new when I got the provari so I am not sure what they measured initially sorry.

When I was examining the relevance a question came to me. Is it better to get user felt feedback ( atty performance degradation ) which gives the user an opportunity to perform maintenance or have the device overcome that degradation automatically with no user felt feedback ?

I think that if it's automatic the atty gets to the point that it can no longer be cleaned. But that may just be the life span.

I'm afraid I might have led this discussion astray. If I did I apologize. I thought you were trying to get to the relevance of a V? device that adjusts the voltage automatically to compensate for atomizer change. A quest to decide which device to buy? That's what my original answer was addressing.

Or -- are you wondering about the relevance of the ProVari's ability to check resistance?

Mine haven't changed over time to any significant degree. A couple have wandered by .1 or .2 ohms, but that's the extent of it. I'm primarily using CE2 XL cartos cut into the MAP tank (I have three of them, and that's almost all I use these days.)

However, I may not be your best test case, because I clean them between every fill. When I first got the MAP tanks I found that a second full tank of juice started to taste very nasty toward the end of the tank. The wire going up to the coil also heats up, and it "cooks" the juice. When I take it apart and clean it, that doesn't happen. Since there's no gunk buildup on my coil, the only thing that could change the resistance is a change in the wire itself, and I don't ever dry burn, and the MAP tank keeps it from a dry wick. Optimal conditions, so no real change in the wire.
