The thread is simple. Would you go the extra $ and get a provari? I answered in my opinion. You dont like my thoughts and answer then thats your problem not mine.

I think everybody gets that it's your opinion; I'm just not sure why you also feel compelled to state it over and over. :) We heard you the first several times.

Youll have to take the mvp thing up with PB. Not me. Tell me why he gives it an exception and comparable with the provari?

He compares it's "signal" to that of a ProVari. That is it has a "flat" output signal. In fact he's pretty hard on the MVP and almost gives it a complete thumbs down because of the button. So while he's comparing how the signal of an MVP and ProVari are similar, he by no means equates the two.

You guys jump on defending it and turning it into a back and forth.

Some of you (attack the post, not the poster, so no names) based your opinion on conjecture and inaccurate information, not facts. P.opus, Coelli, myself and others have provided facts which can be proven to discount those falsehoods. I provided the PBusardo video that described how PWM/PRMS works in mods and how it can affect the vape. Facts. Scientific evidence.

Lower PWM causes a rattlesnake effect whether you hear it or not, in the vaping experience. Don't believe the VTR fires a low 46 Hz frequency PWM? Watch the PBusardo review and pay close attention to the oscelloscope findings. Don't believe the MVP and VV3 fires close to the Provari's 800 Hz frequency, then watch those reviews. The VTR has a different chip than the MVP & VV3.

So you don't believe in the so-called rattlesnake effect and can't tell the difference? Fine, many can't. Fact is, many can. Don't discount those who are able to and prefer one over the other. If it wasn't an important point, then measuring the PWM frequency in reviews would be pointless and unnecessary.

This thread has become a back & forth debate because inaccurate information is being given and others are attempting to provide accurate information which can be documented as truth.

Have to disagree. Provari doesnt do VW. Only VV. And calculating wattage based off voltage requires some math involved and the general public doesnt want to be bothered by calculating laws of ohms and math. So that leaves alot of people looking elsewhere when they see VV only and the premium price hanging on it when the can buy a mvp for 1/4 the cost and get a consistant vape no matter what tank they screw on it.

Well you would be wrong because they both do the same thing. They adjust the input voltage to meet your specifications.

if I had an extra few hundred bucks burning a hole in my pocket and I literally had NOTHING better to spend it on, I'd probably consider it. I've never been much for name brand things, I don't really see spending hundreds more on something that has the same (or fewer) features as a low-price counterpart. This is just my opinion though - honestly, I would say no.

read all my post. it was a mistake saying the mvp and vtr have the same chip i agree on that point and the frequency issue? i dont see how it matters all that much tho

No you and elprub7 gave your opinion and then proceed to call provaris outdated expensive POS' s and then have the audacity to act suprised when provari owners show up to defend.

first learn how to spell my name. might be seeing ALOT more of it. and thats because people like you think volts and watts are the same...

they do not do the same thing. wattage and voltage are different.

Yes exactly my point, it is physically impossible to adjust an output parameter. A VW device varies your input voltage to get your desired output after checking the atty resistance. The chipset does the calculation to determine the desired voltage.

Here's where matters....And this will be my final word on this issue.

"I like the VTR better". This is a subjective statement, it is immune from debate because it is a statement of your observation, and no one can argue that statement. We might not agree with your reasoning, but we can't deny that YOU like the VTR better. Had you said that, we'd be cool.

The VTR is better. This is an objective statement. You are now stating something as fact, and to do so requires evidence of which you have none. We provide evidence that the VTR is not as accurate as a ProVari, does not have the same support as a provari, does not have the same flat signal as a provari, is not built to the standards of a ProVari. And you dismiss it all and continue to state that the VTR is better without providing any supporting evidence of any kind. In fact all of your arguments to date have been subjective yet posed as objective statements.

Why is this important??? Because everyone takes subjective statements with a grain of salt. But objective statements they give more weight to. You know this. Which is why you continue to wrap up your subjective statement using objective language.

I gave you that it has a higher amp limit than the ProVari, but that's about where it stops.

So if you want to continue to pass your baseless opinions as fact, fine, go ahead. But just so you know. People who do such things just to rile others up are generally considered....

they do not do the same thing. wattage and voltage are different.

It's getting late and I'm going to bed and don't feel like teaching basic electrical theory, so I'll leave it at this.

W = V x I or, W = I2 x R or, W = V2 / R.V. And of course I is R divided by V.

Wattage is indeed different - but it's not a magical property all on its own.

ok i said idk why the frequency matters not whether i like it or not. AGAIN the provari has better support and a better warranty, both of which i have said numerous times. the accuracy might be better, but you can't notice. That is a FACT not a subjective statement. if you can somehow measure the small degree in temperature of the vapor with your mouth you're a GOD. the flat signal means nothing but a barely audible buzz which isn't as loud as any atty i use(the atty sound drowns out the buzz unless held to my ear, which is not how anyone vapes) another FACT. The build standards are however a SUBJECTIVE opinion. i think the VTR is built like a tank, you think the provari is.

Never said watts and volts are the same. I said that VW and VV devices do the same thing, they adjust the input voltage, because thats what they do.

1 New Vamo V2 Chrome Finish Variable Voltage Variabble Wattage apv Mod | eBay

This one must be "special".......

It is. It has Variabble Wattage :D

6. Or what about the fact that it won't accept a Kayfun without using the bulky and heavier adapter piece or grinding off the metal guard at the top of the unit?

hacksaw + grinding stone & 220 grit =

The players:

Vamo2 (R91)
Vamo5 (evod)
MVP2
VTR (circumcised by hacksaw)
P2.5

The winner by a mile

The rest have their merits but I'd trade them all (sans toppers) for another P2.5 anyday
