We see this kind of thread all the time! IMO it's worth the money It's a solid well backed product everybody talks about how much it cost
and they can buy 4 other cheap mods for that price Well you better buy all four of those cheap mods cause you can count on them breaking at the most inconvenient time A Provari is excellent value for the money spent

Never say never but at this point I don't see myself buying one. Maybe if they have a design change? Personally I think that they look a bit cheap. I know I know, looks can be deceiving. :)
You obviously have never held or vaped one. That is the determining factor. Pretty sure your opinion would change.

The quote by PBusardo at the beginning of his review of the Provari, "I have held one, and I have used one. I have vaped one. And all I's got to say is....now I get it."

Provari is probably one of the best 15 watt capable tube mods available. If you will never go above 15, yes P is worth it. P was my first regulated mod. Stood by me well, extremely well built, Humvee type mod. Got my first rba for P, and learned DIY juice while on the P, but, had to sell her, no longer can P satisfy me, and have gone the way of the Mech and high amp regulated mods, tanked with rba's. But she did hold her value and sold P to a co-worker first time vaper. So I get visiting rights, and P is happy now that she is being used.

Have never regretted purchasing the Provari. With what I knew then it was the best mod for me. Technology is a changing. like vape in the wind.

Vape long and Prosper!!!

P.S.: the cat bites.

I didn't and wouldn't, but that's because I almost exclusively use mech mods nowadays. I have an Innokin SVD which is great and I still use it now and again, but it would suck if I had spent the cash on a Provari and not use it anymore. Not criticizing the Provari in any way, I'm sure it's a great device and all who have one seem to love them. Just wasn't the path I ended up taking.

MVP2 is only $40. They are well worth their money. In answer to the question, no.

I had MVP2, hated it. HATED it. Sold it right off. I have a Provari that I'm selling. Not because I hate it, but because I prefer bottom feeder devices better.

If you want a quality build with a device, then the Provari absolutely is a great value.

You have everything you need to answer the question yourself rather than relying on the opinions of people who may not share your vaping preferences. Put your ZMAX in VV mode and don't turn the power up to draw more than 3.5 amps. If you want something with excellent build quality, are content with those power restrictions and want a vape that doesn't have the rattlesnake effect the Provari will suit you perfectly. If not, keep shopping.

You're right I haven't but that would require me to buy someting that I'm not particulary fond of the appearance. Something that I don't usually do.

Edit: In higher price ranges anyway.

Why SHOULDN'T someone buy a Provari?

1 - Current finances don't allow it. The price to get in the door, while not the most expensive, is definitely up there. Cheaper units can keep you from smoking (that's the idea here, right?) just as well as a Provari will. If you don't have $200+ now to spend on a PV, you should not buy a Provari.

2 - Future finances won't allow it. Will you be satisfied putting cheap clearos on your new Provari? Maybe, but there's a strong possibility that buying a Provari will lead you to a new buying spree for better toppers, stainless/glass RBA's, and even top-shelf liquids. If you're not prepared to spend more, especially as new toppers are introduced, you shouldn't buy a Provari.

3 - You don't feel "the pull". This is difficult to put into words, but you'll know if you feel "the pull" or not. Some people get a nagging feeling when they learn of the Provari: "What am I missing in my vape experience?" Beyond the vapor, if the feel of a quality, rugged device in your hand isn't important to you, then you should not buy a Provari.

4 - You've already moved beyond it. You're into mech mods, and/or already own a higher-powered regulated mod. If the feature set on the Provari would be a step backwards, you should not buy a Provari.

I think if you check off one or more of the above, you should definitely not buy a Provari.

Full disclosure: I have a Provari.

Why SHOULDN'T someone buy a Provari?

Because they don't want to be limited to novice user settings.
Because they want the option of subohming.
Because there are other devices that do the same thing and more at a far lower price.

Because buying a Provari is like buying an Acura TL, you're just paying a premium price tag for a pretty Honda Accord.

    Reason #4.

Because they want the option of subohming.

    Reason #4 again.

Because there are other devices that do the same thing and more at a far lower price.

    Reason #3.

Because buying a Provari is like buying an Acura TL, you're just paying a premium price tag for a pretty Honda Accord.

    Reason #3 again.

For you, Mr. Completely Average, I would strongly recommend that you never get a Provari.

Let's see. I have 2 ProVaris (one satin stainless, and one Zombie edition...can't get THAT anywhere else). Heck just the Zombie edition was worth it to me, it's unique in my collection. I also have 3 Reos, 4 MVP 2s, an SVD, a Zmax, a Kamry epipe, and on it's way a Hammer clone. Do I still grab my ProVari on a regular basis? HHeck yeah. No batter drop off, no fiddling, excellent warranty, tough as nails (I've dropped mine, knocked it over, etc no problems. It feels great in my hand. I love them as much as I love my Reos and my MVP's.

But "Worth" is as subjective as taste. They only way to decide is get your hands on one and try it. Borrow a friends, grab one from the classifieds (Heck if Rabernet is selling hers there grab that she's awesome). I mean you know what they say about one man's treasure.
