Definitely go with a twist or spinner [Twist Knock Off] or for something even simpler the Itaste MVP

Don't go with a non variable volt unit.

I completely agree! Non Variable voltage is a waste... in a very short time, beginners are going to want a variable voltage device.

I have to conditionally disagree with tomzgreat.

Some new users won't be able to grasp ohms and volts and will simply assume as so many do that more should mean better and get ...... off when they get burning wicks instead of vapor.

I think that MOST people can grasp the concept... juice is burning? Turn the voltage DOWN... not enough vapor? Turn the votage UP....

Seriously... I just don't think that's too much for people to grasp.

I think that having the non vv vs the variable is more a matter of finances. If you read into this forum, most say that the ego will just sit on the side after you get tired of them and buy a mod. So why would you spend $10 extra on something that you wont like after a while anyway? 900 mAh ego's go for $15, while VV's are $25. Get a $15 one and go from there.

As a recent newbie, YES,the idea of VV is too much to grasp, at first. I don't consider myself stupid (!) but I had a difficult time understanding all of the new terminology, even AFTER reading Tom's excellent thread and watching innumerable YouTube videos, PBusardo and many others. It wasn't until I had let the dust settle, refilled some cartomizers, burned many more and got a vivi tank...boom! Finally it clicked.

The ease of use for the Ego type batteries is being discounted. I KNOW a prothingy is "better" but for a newbie, it is all too much to comprehend, sometimes.

My first e-cig was an eGo-T, and I managed to kick a 50+ year smoking habit to the curb with it. So I can't knock them.
However knowing what I know now, this, and a box of cartos, is a far better option for a first e-cig.

AFTER a person knows that vaping is what they want to do, then they can go looking at the fancy stuff. But, learn how to vape on a simple little eGo type PV before spending a bunch of cash. Lot less painful to toss a $50 eGo kit in the trash than it is a Provari if you find you don't like vaping.
