Wow got my 510 to where I want it :)

Ive been playing with my 510 for close to 2 weeks now and for the most part I like it. My biggest complaint was the fact that it seemed I had to top off my carts quite often, and I really like to drip now and then to get a HUGE vapor hit. (Just because) I think that I have nailed down my 'broken in' process and will be my regular break in of all carts/attys I get.

First - remove the wick. It tends to get nasty after a while, and honestly I think the gunk on it was making it harder and harder to hit. (I used a vid to build my confidence enough to realize how simple it really is. Even for a noob)


Then, I cut the poly filler in my carts and fill them with e-juice (as per Highping's thread)


Wow, for me what a difference! I was pondering picking up an 801 because I heard the hits were much thicker and more satisfying. (Which is more my taste right now)

Im sure I will burn out my attys a little quicker now, and have to change my poly more often, but damn! What a difference a lil tweak here and there makes!

Wait until you try a LR atty.. Oh man. Good stuff. I like the straw method with polyfill in the carts works pretty well.

Had a 510 atty starting to lose it's umph. After reading this I decided to remove the wick aswell and it's amazing! I think it may even have better flavor aswell.

Finding your "sweet spot" is what vaping is all about! Sometimes it's voltage and sometimes its attys and voltage and E-liquid too. Glad that you are happy.

If you're getting big into dripping, like i am, try also pulling off the bridge along with the wick. You have to weaken the metal mesh around the bridge but once all of that is out you really get amazing flavor and vapor. Just be careful it can only hold about 2 drops so make sure to keep it wet.

Removing the wicks proved good for me as a last resort for a dying atty; however I started removing the wicks off new ones and it seemed to totally destroy them. Very odd because it made sense!

the 510 battery puff life was pathetic at 1 hour or a little more so i replaced it with a Hello 016 1300mah ( 8 to 10 hours between charges ) and replaced that abomination of an atomizer + cartridge with cartomizers with a soft rubber plug.

I still call it my Joye 510
