 Just added it all up -I have spent around $350.00  on PV supplies in the past 2 months trying to find my niche. This has included another starter kit, extra batteries, a PCC, different cartomizers + extra empty ones, different cartridges (I love lucid clear carts modded with blue foam, BTW), e-liquid samples from various vendors, extra chargers, a big tackle box, and a huge DIY order (so excited about all the possible creations!). I have found my niche and finally satisfied with my equipment and juice selection, and I believe I have all I need to last me for probably at least a year, other than a possible battery replacement or two, or a couple atty replacements if any of my current ones die, and possibly a little more DIY nic base liquid. I didn't think I would ever get to a point where I didn't want or need to order anything else unless I absolutely have to. Whew!

Still, I figure that I spent AT LEAST $750/year smoking analogs, so as long as I don't spend much more this year on PV supplies (I know I won't -I figure when all is said and done I might spend about $100/year on PV supplies/liquids) then it is still quite a savings to vape -not to mention having better health and smelling better :p

Actually my signature banner should be a much larger -$ than what it shows now. It should show $-300 saved, lol!

So, I am curious as to how much other vapers have spent on their equipment, and how much the average vaper spends per month/per year on orders once they find their niche and have been vaping for a while.

Let's see.... I joined about the same time you did, Luscious (late June 2011). $200 for his/her eGo-T starter kits (a little pricey, but got them from a brick-and-mortar, along with carry case for her, and extra juice.

Since, I've probably spent another $250 on cartos of every flavor, juice, extra batteries, another eGo starter kit (much cheaper this time), and passthrough. I'm doing good - more than good, as my desk looks like a chemist's lab :) Got the tackle box, and all juices are tucked away. Those would last me for a year.

I've settled down on carto styles and a few good juices, and really just spending now on replacement cartos. I just ordered another 30 cartos, which will probably get me through the year.

So, around $500 in the first couple of months, but ready to go quite awhile with what I've got. And that covers the wife as well. We were doing about $3000/yr in analogs, so there's our vacation in savings!

Well, just to make you feel better .. .I've spent about $7500 on ecig stuff in the last 6months. I would have spent $3000 or so on cigs .... but my health is much better!

Niche? lol .. there's always something new to try. Curiosity killed the savings account as well as the cat!

To be honest, I am supporting 4 other vapers too, but they are cheap compared to my stash. This is just a small sampling of the stash that ate Minnesota:

Beautiful Collection Cleo, very Go Go Heavy of course :D Looks like the Crayola Rainbow of course heheh nice blinging of the PV's and you even have a couple of the Cherry Vapes Dream Tips that I have too :D

I too have spent quite a sum of money, over $1000 just on PV's alone, but now that I have found my niche, I am good on PV's for a little while with the Top Three that I use, Provari, Go Go & Go Go Pro and my Ego 1000mAh Battery with Dual coil Clearos. I do still have the MOD Fever so there are a couple more devices I am going to buy but other than that it will just be juice and cartos from here on out. :D

Wow, Cleo, that is quite a menagerie!

I thought I was bad, since I've dropped about $1,700 on vaping hardware and eliquids. But I have enough hardware to last me several years (some, like the Reo, should live forever) and a year's worth or more of eliquids. And now that I'm getting into DIY, the bill should come way down from here on out.

Pretty much the exact same situation here as far as $ spent etc.
I have my eye on about $40 of stuff from ecig express. I'm out of Hypnotic Mist Flavoring. :(

I really shouldn't spend anymore $ until next year. :-x

I didn't want to think about it, but your post encouraged me to honestly add it up on paper. I think I'm done with major hardware purchases so now it should just be juice/DIY and cartos.

~$50- drug store kit and cartos
$84- Go-go kit, cartos, and whistle tips
$15- 10 extra empty cartos for the drug store kit
$18- set of juices from classified section here
$29- Vapor God juices
$18- more Vapor God juices
$13- nic from Box Elder
$10- juices from honeyville
$30- Lorann flavorings from a local cake shop
$12- quart of PG from Home Essentials

So, about $280. I should be set on juices for a while though.

The bank statement arrived and I was asked where the $600 I spent went... that doesn't count the cash sales at vape meets either haha... not to mention the shopping cart I have filled right now and the one I am going to start at another vendor :D

got my first reo a couple weeks ago and just ordered another. I am ordering a new ego type setup, just because it is skinned to look just like a cuban cigar. miss my cohibas. I am always trying different juices but truth is I always go back to dekang cheapo tobaccos. all the extravagent juices tend to bother my throat. and sweet stuff I can only vape as a treat, not all day.

I've spent close to $1000 but still in the good so it's fine with me. add the amazing health benefits... I have climbed up 3 notes in my upper register for singing since quitting.

*points to sig* Yep, I know that feeling all too well. :p

But on the brighter side, I haven't purchased anything in over a month now. I'm stocked up with juice, an eGo and an e-power, 2 DIY box mods, along with replacement attys, batteries and cartos. Every week I'm inching closer and closer to that break even point. Only 6 weeks away!

And once I get there I promised myself I could go on a spending spree to celebrate...

Provari here I come!

Thank You

We don't continue to spend a lot of money. When we tell our doctor that what we are doing is causing pain. He tells us to stop doing that. K.I.S.S.

$750 a year on cigarettes? I was paying $300 a month. You either didn't smoke much or you got most of your cigs free. :p

I was going to break even this month, but then I put my ProVari down in the store somewhere and didn't realize it until I got back to my car. A trip through the store didn't find it, Customer Service said it was probably toast, so a third ProVari was on the menu. Three days later the store called and said they'd found mine, so the new one went to a friend who needed a little more than her eGo could provide. And now I'm waiting on two holsters for my ProVaris, so that never happens again.

I've bought 5 eGo kits, 3 ProVaris, a GLV2, a crappy, overpriced cigarette store e-cig kit, more juice than I want to even think about (quite a bit of it still lurking in my "just in case" case). Now I'm waiting for the iAtty to come back in stock, and then I think I'm done. I hope.

I have been vaping 3 months and have spent almost $400. However I was spending a whole lot more on smoking/month than you too. $150/month for smokes (not to mention lighters, and s^%t breath eradicators). I have what I need and don't plan on spending a lot more except replacement liquids so I figure $50-$60 per month from here on out.

That being said I think I have mod envy for #16, classy looking mods there :)

Just posted in very similar thread and here's my answer there.

"Wasted the first $350 on 'branded' junk and prefilled carts, spent next $350 stocking up good equipment and juice. All set for half a year, or more. Now, it costs me about $1 a day, much less than cigs. All I wanted was a working solution to replace analogs, paid some tuition. As a hobby, which isn't for me, vaping can be a bottomless pit. Despite $100 price tags on mods, the variety of juice is what can be costly. I stopped as soon as I found 'adequate' batts and juice."
