Ok where I am at it is a "whopping bone-chilling" 50 degrees where I live.

I wake up, grab a drink of water from the night stand, and then go to take a hit from my vape. I check the tank and my high VG liquid is thick and barely flowing, but it vapes ok. So I feel for all you vapers out there who live in areas where it actually gets cold.

I raise my mod and vape for those who actually freeze.

My house is 69 degrees at the moment.... With a back door open, no heat, and a fan going.

I too salute all of you vapers in colder temperatures.... And it looks like vaping is saving on heating/cooling costs, since we'd normally not get it down quite that low, although it's perfectly comfortable in a bathrobe.

Do I get to add it to my vaping costs??

I know high heat is the concern with batteries but is there a point when you shouldn’t leave your mod in the car in the evening. Popped inside and left my mod for 2 hours in the car, it was a chilly mod and I just wondered how cold before your batteries have trouble...

I live in the Great White North (Canada :)). I've been an avid photographer for a long time and my cameras have come equipped with Li-Ion batteries for a while now. I can tell you from experience that once these batts get cold the power they can put out diminishes the lower the temperature gets.

I've found that when temps get to about -5 C battery capacity starts to decline. Once it gets to about -15 C (5 F) I have to keep extra packs warm inside my coat because my camera will only take a few pics before it just stops and I have to swap them out.

When I vape in the cold I keep my mod in a pocket or inside my coat if its really cold to keep that from happening. I find it's easier to handle this issue with vape gear because this stuff is small enough to easily keep warm without having to swap batts.

As for the batteries, they are not damaged long term from being cold. A fully charged battery that looses its capacity from the cold will recover just fine once it's warmed up with no damage that I have ever noticed.
