Couldn't figure out why I couldn't post in the new members forum. I guess I'm not a forum noob anymore. I feel kind of noobish. Oh well, cool.

So, maybe this is old hat for you guys, but I haven't seen it mentioned. Filling cartos with an eye-dropper.

I got two 30ml vials of juice which came with eye-droppers in them. I fill the eye-dropper about half full then press the end of the eye-dropper into the filler material then slowly push the liquid into the material until it turns all slushy. It seems like this method works really well because you can use some pressure with the bulb to force the juice down into the filler and avoid accidentally getting juice into the air tube. Using this method my cartos last for hours.

I put half a dozen drops into the hole on the battery end and also into the open end where the plug goes. The carto gets filled at both ends. I let it sit horizontally for about 30 minutes to soak the filler and blow it out and vape. With a new carto, most of the time there's nothing to blow out.

A used carto gets several drops in a circle through the large open end periodically as I sense a drop in vapor and taste. I get 8 or 10 days out of a carto before the taste begins to die off or the tube in the center starts to brown.

Yeah, I can't do the fancier stuff yet. I still have auto batteries so I have to keep everything dry. Never thought of filling from both ends. Sounds like a good idea. Don't really like the idea of the condom method, especially with auto batts.

I've been doin the carto condom method. Fill one of the carto condoms a bit over halfway with juice then slowly press the batt. end down into the condom. Juice will flow out the top of the inner tube and get absorbed into the filler. You can let it pool to the top of the carto to give extra juice to work their way down. Some thicker juices just shake carto holding it from the mouth piece side to force it down with some extra gravity. Then just pull it out of the condom, wipe it off and blow out whats left in tube and ready to go. Someday Ill get me a syringe.

Yeah, that sounds kind of messy. I might try it once to see if I like doing that after I get a manual battery.

Can't knock it till you try it! Thought the same way until I gave it a shot. By far the best way to fill with a new flavor. Very quick and easy. Also it fills it from the bottom up so it's right there in the coil. After the initial fill I just drip in from the top to top it off every now and then.

I am assuming I'm likely to kill an auto batt this way. Am I wrong about that?

Once the carto is filled by condom method blow out the tube to clear out any juice and wipe it down good. All juice should be in the filler material, if you still have a puddle on top of filler stick a tissue or towel and soak it up. Gotta be real careful of overfilling. I think for an auto battery any kind of refilling can cause issues if your not careful. I didn't notice you had autos, I myself didn't have much luck with them so using manuals now. Having said that, I would just use whatever kind of refilling you feel comfortable with.

My gf and I have nothing but auto bats and have never had any issues. No dripping down, nothing. Was show this method by a buddy that also using nothing but auto bats. Just like filling it through the top, when you're done blow through it (semi hard) with a rag paper towel below it on the thread side. Once you stop hearing the gurgling liquid sound and don't have any drops on the paper towel it's more than safe to put back on the auto battery. I've gotten pre filled cartos that had a lot more liquid in them than this leave behind meaning that you're more safe putting a carto back on the battery in this condition than you are blindly putting a prefilled carto on directly from the manufacturer.
