I am having the best vape I ever have right now! Thanks to all of you!

I got my first mech today (Tree of Life clone by Infinite) and my kayfun clone by EhPro. Built my first coil at 1.5 ohms. The coil isn't that pretty, but it works well. Flavor and vapor production is fantastic!

Thanks for all the help and providing blogs and posts to help me learn battery safety, ohms law, etc. You guys made it easy!

The only issue is that the mech will only take the purple Efest flatop batteries, not the red Efest flatops. I find that odd. Guess I'll just have to pick up more purple Efest 18650s.

I have good contact on the top, I think the copper pin on the bottom for some reason isn't making contact when I press the button.

Just compared them. The bottom of the red Efest is sunken in more (maybe because it is older? It is a 4 month old battery, the purple one is new). There is like an imprint of something in the bottom, maybe the Vamo dented it over time? Might be time to just chuck it. lol.

The Infinite ToL button has very little travel. In it's standard configuration, 1mm to be exact. I've yet to see one where the negative button pin doesn't make contact with the battery negative... but I suppose there's always a first time.
The negative pin is not designed to be adjusted, but by adding a thin spacer (a very thin washer will do) between pin and button, you can increase the button's travel... within the limits of travel permitted by the button collet.

In the off chance that you're not adjusting things in their proper order... after you've installed the battery appropriate for the tube you want to use...

1. With the 510 top cap removed, install the atomizer to it. Unscrew the larger copper contact to allow the atomizer to sit flush to the top cap, then screw it back in to make contact.
2. Unscrew the secondary (top cap) contact out a few turns, and screw the 510 top cap onto the tube. If it will not screw on all the way, flush with the tube, remove the top cap and screw the secondary contact in a bit - and reinstall.
3. To continue, screw the secondary top cap contact in or out as needed to a. Have a flush fitting top cap and b. Have no battery rattle.

The stock spring can be a little weak for those that like to stand their mods on the button with the lock ring off. The quick fix is to stretch the spring about 3/8"... or replace it with a stiffer, and/or longer spring.

There are a few other possible issues with the Infinite ToL... but they appear rarely and are attributable to extremes in machining tolerances. For the most part, they are one of the better mech clones made.
