WOW What a Difference. I Don't Understand it, But there's a HUGE difference (Nebula vs E-cig)

As some of you may know from my couple of previous threads, I'm one of the noobs who didn't do their homework and find this place first before I fell for the e-cigbrand.com come on "free" e-cig. I have cancelled the subscription cartomizer thing, so hopefully I won't have any trouble from them. I am happy for the error for the simple reason of I've been dragging my feet about trying e-cigarettes for years. You don't see them for sale around here on the shelves as some people say they find them. At least I haven't. So, I decided with the e-cigbrand thing that it was a good way to try them.

I got my e-cig a few days ago, and while not 100% impressed, I was impressed enough to actually do some homework (better late than never, right?) and found this place. I also found vapornine and ordered the Nebula (before finding here). Since then I've had some on here say I would be a lot happier with the Nebula. I was hoping that was true, although couldn't understand what the big difference would be.

Well, I got it today. (It even came all charged and ready to go, how nice is that?)

Okay, I get it. It's BETTER. A million times actually. I kept trying it to make sure it wasn't just my imagination, or because I WANTED it to be better, lol. But no, it IS better.

First, well is simply that I ordered a higher strength nicotine level. The e-cig's highest level is 11. That's just not strong enough and I was vapeing CONSTANTLY just to feel satisfied at all. And still craving cigarettes at the same time.

I ordered 24 mg strength with the nebula, and over the last day or so, had worried it might be too high. It's not though. It's perfect. Very satisfying.

Then there's the operation of it. This is where I can't understand why one would be better than the other. They are very similiar looking items to look at. But with the e-cig thing I have to PULLLLLLLLLL like I'm sucking in a lung to get a drag on it. I even adopted a puff, puff, puff, puff, puff pull type of drag that improved it some, but only to the degree where I didn't have to suck in a lung to get the same hit as the PULLLLLLLLLLLLL method.

With the Nebula I seriously hardly have to pull at all. LOVE the light resistance on this thing. Full mouth of vapor, nice cloud on release, and very satisfying hit.

I'm sold, I'm sold, I'm doing the happy dance because I wasn't sure that vapeing was going to help me get rid of the messy, dangerous sticks. I was up to now thinking well, they'll be a nice substitute for times I can't smoke like on vacation in a hotel, or when I just want something quick, or maybe for the fun flavors (which by the way, the blueberry cartomizers I ordered with the Nebula are VERY nice.) Now though, with the Nebula I can actually see not wanting a cigarette, in fact, I have a full pack sitting next to me, but I want the Nebula, not them!!!!

That is wonderful Tami. Love hearing stories like this.

I will be forever in debt to VaporNine and their Nebula Apex. It got me off analogs. I started with a NicStic from my local smoke shop. It let me know that this was doable? but the nebula got me going for real. I am about to move on to bigger and better things but the Nebula Apex was a perfect starter for me. YMMV

For anyone that has to have a cigarette size to start with you can't go wrong with this one.

Nebula is not unique. It's a KR808D-1 and there are plenty of KR808D-1 models like V4L (customized to allow longer drags) and CigEasy Elite 808 and normal manufacturer KR808D-1 and more plus the rubberized styles SmokelessImage, Bloogplanet, Halocigs G6

KR808D-1 is the strongest slim model, 3.7v (3.6v for the rubberized models)

If you don't want to suck so hard then buy manual batteries. Most people here use and recommend manuals - harder to damage/kill with juice and easier to get a good hit. You press the button in a bit earlier than you start your drag so nice vapor is waiting when you start dragging as soft as you want, and let the button up just before the end of your drag. Also - on a manual battery you can use a DSE901 standard resistance (2.5 to 3 ohm) atomizer and drip tip to test new juices.

I also recommend thin clear juices in cartomizers. I use around 80PG/20Vg (and V4L WOW juices and SmokelessImage juices are similarly thin) and I avoid all dark/cloudy/opaque juices that drop flavoring sediment in the stuffing (flavoring sediment will clog up a carto fast and really ruin the drag too quickly)

Thanks for the info dormouse. Maybe for my next pv purchase, I'll look into manual, but I'm really satisfied with this.

I didn't mean to imply that the Nebula was a "one of a kind" just that I found that particular brand of 808 and it is a billion times better than the thing I started with. Sorry for any confusion.

LOL I do believe I'm hooked too. I just can't believe it. It's been 3 hours and I've not had a craving for an analog cigarette at ALL. I DON'T WANT ONE. They're right here, but I have been so happy using the nebula that I simiply don't want the old crappy ones. I know 3 hours is nothing, but the fact that I COULD have an analog if I wanted it, but PREFER the PV it just amazing to me. The other PV, I had it, and used it, but I had to alternate with cigarettes to be satisfied. I kept hoping that I'd lean more toward the pv, but didn't. I just can't believe the difference.

Back in the day when ALL we had were the *mini* e-cigs, your discovery was called "the primer puff". I did more primer puffing than secondary puffing. =)

Congrats and glad to see you found better quality equipment. Now it becomes your responsibility to pass your newly gleaned information onto other smokers. It's a cross we all bear as vapers. lol
