I'm fairly new to rebuilding, and I have some questions about coil heat up lag time. This is my build and set up:

sigelei 20 watt
Fogger v4.1
1.3 ohm (28 ga, 12 wraps per coil, 3mm dia)
vape at 15-17 watts

My coils take up to 5-6 secs to heat up to where you can hear the crackle. Why is that? Too much surface area to heat, not enough power? I'm not much for crazy power to make a choking vape, or chase clouds, but I do like heavy vapor and flovor. Any suggestions?

Yeah, you've got a lot of coil there to heat up. Try a single coil... 28g wire, 2mm rod, 8 wraps = ~1.3 ohm

Or if you want the dual coil effect try a sleeper coil build... same thing 28g wire, 2mm rod BUT you wrap two separate coils on the same wire, 4 wraps each with a space between the two coils.

Thanks. May be now I could appreciate my Fogger.
