I have the copper vein LP Grand and I love it! They are not smooth but have more of a smooth wrinkled finish!

Thanks for your answers, that's just what I needed to know. And Shannanagan....that pic is awesome! :)

The hook went out about a week ago and I swallowed it whole, which means I'm doomed. So here I go, ready to take the first step! I think I know which accessories to stock up on but am all ears for any suggestions. I plan to order the RM2 also. Anything else I might need?

Get some extra bottles and a spare spring or two. Bottles so you can swap juices on the fly and springs for the accidental short. You're going to love it!

Thanks gopher. :) Can you guys tell me where the Reo is mailed from and how long it takes to get one? (not that I'm anxious) :)

Rob is in Maine and he ships on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Both of mine have been shipped on Monday and received on Wednesday via Priority Mail.

I've never built anything under 1.5 Ohm. As I hear it, sub Ohms and dual coils eat up a lot more juice. I find at 1.8 Ohms I'm as happy as can be. Now, just what does a person do who's just ordered and doesn't have their first new Reo yet? Should I just try to sleep thru Mon, Tues, and Wed? :)

Oh... just hang around here and ask angsty questions. :p

Nice setup you ordered. If the finish appealed enough for you to order it then you're gonna love it. It's textured, but it isn't rough. It's just.. nice. I have a copper vein and a wrinkle and I love 'em both.

About the shipping:

Rob shoots 'em out Priority mail so that should be three days maxx once it hits postal tracking.

You will get a tracking number but the tracking number will show up in your PP account once it's been assigned, under the transaction details for the purchase. You will need to keep an eye on your PP account for the tracking number. The PP system is supposed to be able to notify you when tracking is assigned, but it isn't working right now. (Not a Reos thing, an every-thing.)

You gotta sign for it!!! If you won't be there on the day it arrives (AAUUUGGHHH!!!) you need to make arrangements - some kind of Postal form you fill out in advance in order for it to be left in your mail box.

Welcome to the fold!

You'll have it by Friday or Saturday. Rob ships via USPS Priority mail which is 2-3 business days. He does ship with Signature Tracking for make sure someone is available to sign for it. You are gonna love it. I just received my second REO, an SL/LP Grand Metallic Purple and it is awesome. Next up for me is a copper vein mini 2.1 as well. I may go for the SL version. Haven't decided yet but Copper Vein is definitely my next finish to own.

The week will go by quick and you will be vaping in no time!

Congratz! That will look wonderful! With the Copper Vein it is usual for the Copper color to turn black. You can apply a poly coat when it is new and halt that process.

Make sure you have batteries ready and lots of juice!

1- The wait will seem like forever, even though it's not. Cryogenic freezing for those couple of days will make it more tolerable if that's feasible for you. If not, do what I do and torture yourself looking through the REO family photo thread. You are more than welcome to hang here, we understand and will commiserate with you.

2- The CV is an awesome finish, make sure you seal it with a high grade sealant if you want to retain that color, otherwise it will darken considerably over time. I sealed mine with 4 coats of automotive clear coat but I guess I have worn through it and it is darkening up. That's what I get for not being able to put it down.

Welcome to the Ville, congrats on a great first REO!

Thanks for all the encouragement everybody! And thanks for the sealant tip too. Is there anything I can put on the finish that won't wear off like the car clear coat but that doesn't make it shine? I sure don't want to lose that copper color! :)

I've heard good things about Rustoleum clear sealant but have never used it. I think my issue is because it is always either in my hand or in my pocket, probably more from the pocket carry for 12-14 hour days.
