I've been a huge fan of the eGo-C system (especially type B). I hate cartos, dripping is a pain out of the house, CE2's leak like crazy, stardusts and Vivi Nova's are just "OK". So I've been really digging the eGo-C, but last week, nothing was working right. All my eGo-C atomizers where tasting burned, no matter what i did. I tried different batteries, went back to type A, hard caps or soft caps, didn't matter. Even my eCab was tasting burnt (uses type A atomizer). I just didn't understand. I tried everything. Cleaning, dry burning, thinning my juice with vodka. Nothing helped, so i put it all a way for a bit.
So here is the point of the post. Just for the heck of it today, I decided to try out the one LR head I have (I usually use SR on my twist or VMAX). Well the LR tasted great (which is suprising because when I first got it all I got was burned taste), but I was getting A LOT of leaking. Looking at the spike I saw it was the older type B with the 3 slots, so I swapped it with a newer 1 slot spike. While I had it apart, I dry burned it because the coil/wick was pretty black. Before this, it metered out at 1.7ohm. After putting it back together it read 3.0ohm, and it keeps rising. Now it's between 3.5-4.0ohm. It's working great though, especially because I can use it with no issues on my Smoktech VMAX and VV Gripper (if you know anything about these 2 devices, they run much higher voltage then what the screen says).
Any ideas what i could have done to increase the resistence? I'd love to "ruin" a few other heads and make them higher resistence. LOL.
I wish joyetech offered a 3ohm version I could buy.
Is this thing gonna blow up on me?
