X6 Battery Light is Always On...

I just bought a X6 Battery multi-voltage Lavatube style.
After my initial 5 clicks the button is now constantly red, but goes out when I screw the tank on.
clicking button makes it flash 3 times.
Charger that was supplied with it stays on green indicating it's fully charged.

Have I been sold a duff/broken battery?

Can anyone help me?

Someone else on this forum had this exact same problem, but the forum won't let me PM them or reply to their post.

So one of my X6 batteries has the light on all the time. It's not getting hot at all and the light goes out when I put a tank on it. I tried charging it but no joy. Is this thing fried?......​

I don't know if I can help, but I'll try. Does this look like the battery you have?

Lavatube Red EGO X6 Variable Voltage Battery 1300mAh

If so, the different colored lights indicate the voltage level you are vaping at: red for 3.6V, purple for 3.8V and blue for 4.2V

Hi Susan, thanks for reply, yes that's one.

The problem I'm having is that the light is on all the time, when the tank isn't screwed in, and I cannot turn it off!
The light goes off when I connect the tank, but then when I press the button it just flashes 3 times. ( I think that means it has got a short circuit )

Tried clicking 5 times but it doesn't change colour and still refuses to work.

I think I just got a dud grrrr

Yes, something doesn't look right. I watched this video and the reviewers light always went off.
