Hi dieselrick - I dont own an X6 - but its basically a VV eGo style battery in a more durable housing. You can find some posts on this forum from users who own them and check out the good, the bad and the ugly (if there is any bad or ugly) that way. If you put in x6 ecig ECF in google you can see a slew of results from the forum here (google fu has WAY better search results than the search feature here for some reason).

As far as the price - for a 1300 maH VV Battery 35 bucks is not shabby at all!

Has anyone tried the X6 style batteries I am considering purchasing one due to the rugged styling which I like A WHOLE LOT is it worth 35 dollars or so and if anyone has had any problems with this style

Seems expensive.

$14.00 direct from China. That's not even the wholesale price, which is under $10.

I'm using the X6 mod with the kanger pro tank II. Works fairly well so far although I'm dry burning or rebuilding coils every three or four days. I'm new to all this as well so not positive that I'm not doing something wrong.

The X6 has plenty of battery life to last all day on one charge. It also feels more comfortable for some one like me with larger hands, the ego my wife uses is way too skinny.

Happy vaping and good luck

I have one of them from Fasttech and I think I paid around 24.00 for the starter kit. From what I read you need a special charger because of the 510 connection being deeper set then a regular ego battery. I love it and have dropped it many times and no issues! It's my battery that I take out and about because it lasts all day. I've had it about 6 months and no issues.
