Ok, I couldn't wait for the new material & decided to try some 3mm silica I have on hand in a T2. Doubled the wick at the coil area & twisted a tiny pc of ss mesh around the end of the single strand & easily slipped it down into the tank. 30g kanthal coil came out 1.9 ohms & so far it's hitting fine w/no dry hits. Plenty of vapor & good TH, but flavor seems slightly muted compared to ss mesh, which I still prefer at this point. I have a feeling the nextell will be a game changer tho.

Been using the 1/32 Nextel from BigTex for a couple of weeks. I liked it instantly and thought it was just as good as SS mesh. To compare I made a fresh SS wick yesterday and was surprised how much I still liked it in comparison. The Nextel is certainly easier to coil, in fact, nothing to it. Can't say that the 1/32 wicks any better than SS mesh as I still have to tilt. Guess I need to try some 1/16.

The XC-116 has been a game-changer for me the past 4 days.. :) I made a U wick by tightly wrapping the wick ends with SS mesh, then feeding them into the holes of my AGA-T2. I had it apart, pulled the wick ends through, then removed the mesh.

I then used the bottom hole of the ground post to attach the Kanthal, and wrapped a coil just like on a SS mesh wick. I was careful to just touch the wire around the wick.. not too tightly. I've wrapped a couple of 2.0 Ohm coils @ 7 watts in my Kicked MKB-TS , and let me tell you, the flavor and thick clouds of vapor have been the best I've had in 2 1/2 years of vaping.. (Attys, cartos, SS mesh, silica, etc...) :vapor: I love this stuff!!

I pulled it once for the hell of it, and put it into the burner of my gas stove.... It came out bright white, and was ready to use again. ;)

i got the 1/16 love it!! figured out an easy way to install in my aga, and a way to keep it from fraying/unraveling while i was working with it. took about 2 inches of sewing thread and tie ends of wick with it just made a couple wraps around the end of the wick as close as i could get it,tied a couple square knots in it as tight as i could, on one end left the remaining thread on in a long tail. the end i wrapped my coil on i trimmed the ends off short. after i wrapped the coil i dropped the long ends of the thread on the tail end through wicking hole, (i had tank apart) and used the thread to pull wick through. made it super easy. then took clippers and snipped the thread from both ends of wick, put tank all together and filled.

This stuff continues to amaze me... :w00t: I can see heavy trails of vapor all through my living room. :vapor: Thank God I DIY my juice.. I had to cut my nic down fron 24 to 18 since running the XC-116. I have noticed this wick is thirsty though.. I always seem to be filling the damn thing up. (Another reason to be thankful for DIY juice I like ;) )
