Thanks, looking forward to the change, but worried I won't get my ECF Fix.
Breakfast, Lunch, After work, then before bedtime, YES I'm an ECF Junkie. :D

It IS addicting, isn't it? I'm so new to vaping that I am trying to learn everything I can. And there's so much to learn. But along the way I have also found this to be a fun place to just hang out, so even if I ever managed to "know everything about vaping" (haha), I don't see me leaving.

Not possible... too many changes, most quite rapidly!

Just my personal thought on mobile access to the new forum:
I actually like TapTalk on iPhone. Push notifications for PM and subscribed threads, choice to read each thread differently with a click to last unread, latest or oldest post. Easy to tap and do Web view for iTrader ratings. I understand it seems like many think TapTalk is not mobile friendly; and I see the emphasis here about how responsive the new forum is going to be; but without a actual app for reading the forum, it's not possible to get push notifications on iPhone easily without all notifications being sent in emails.
I would like a choice available for people to choose themselves whether they want to use chrome/webpage or app. I only go on ECF on my iphone, and I don't use chrome at all. I just worried how easy it is going to be with the new forum on iPhone without an app of TapTalk compatibility.

Failure to read the rules and stickies as well as the inability to search has been the scourge of Internet forums from day one. It's not going to change just because we wish it to, nor will it change with attempts to force people to do so.

I have read the rules........several times....... but dang there's a lot of em!!! lol My rememberer is broke, but my forgetter works great!!

I lurk more than not, but whatever my 2 cents are worth, I endorse this message wholeheartedly.

That said, my sincere thanks to the people that are putting gargantuan amounts of their time into researching and implementing newer methods of keeping vapers connected on this awesome forum. ECF has been a fantastic source of knowledge that I'm grateful to have found. I couldn't do what you're doing.

I really appreciate all that's being done to help with the transition. Just hope that after we all transitioned to the new software and problems being solved, the option to TapTalk or app to access the forums will be considered.

Thank you admin and others who devoted so much time and energy to keep ECF running smoothly.

Maybe the downtime will be good for you, because if all you can do is read, you'll have more time to read what you want to learn!

Last I knew, yes, open for reading but not for posting.

A simple-minded question...(from a somewhat PC-Challenged user)...

I use Firefox with the "Tab Mix Plus" add-on. I usually have 80-100 tabs open...with 15-20 tabs with ECF threads I follow.

So...during change-over => can read but not post...

When change-over is finished...will my tabs still "work" for the "new"/changed-over threads?

[I think I may be asking...will the URL's for the threads stay the same?]

LOL well that sure puts a good spin on the down time. But yes, I WILL be reading during the down time. As I am sure a lot of others will too... I just wonder how many will be making notes of threads they finally got to read and will now want to respond to? I probably will :)

They SHOULD work. There may be some fine tuning required with the redirects after the conversion, so don't be surprised if there are some glitches until we get things ironed out.

I just thought I was bad. Don't have tab mix plus, just use chrome, but usually have 8-10 tabs ECF tabs of various threads open across the top. Now I see, that's nuttin! lol
