XL Auto Battery Question

I love my new shiny Green battery with the green led, but Im wondering if I can open up the airholes a bit with my needle to get a bit lighter draw without adversely affecting the switch inside. Anyone know about these automatics?

I drilled mine out by hand the day I got them. Just take a drill bit and twist away by hand. The metal is pretty soft. Just don't go too big.

Thanks I went ahead and did it. My 18 G needle works fine, and the switch comes on more easily now. Thank you.
